Despite the disappointing semi-final loss to the Czech Republic at the 2014 IIHF U18 World Championship, Canada has turned in a solid effort at this year's tournament. They still have a shot at taking home the bronze medal, but that is small comfort for a country that is used to at least competing for the gold medal at these tournaments.
One of the more impressive performers for Canada at this U18 has been defenseman Travis Sanheim. The lanky defender is currently tied for the team scoring lead with five assists in six games, posting a +4 rating and 10 shots on goal.… read more
