Yzerman just told me he's not going to be Canada GM again. "Time to move on," he smiled.

Yzerman was serious. He's stepping down as Canada's Olympic executive director. Says it's time to let someone else get a shot at it.

Wonder is any of that is because of Marty fallout.

Thought about SFY.

If the NHL isn't going to participate (and it make take NBC to twist the league's arm to see otherwise), could SFY saying he's out for 2018 be a bit of an indication that if NHL players aren't going, he (and possibly other NHL team personnel) won't go either?

You'd have to figure that if the NHL is out in 2018, Babcock wouldn't go, for instance, (unless he'd been fired) as the NHL would still be playing.
