Ends the season .933 SV%/1.70 GAA. Last season was .937 SV%/1.64 GAA, so not all that much worse in comparison to a season where he was 1st team all KHL.

32.4% was the conversion rate for the first 1000 shootouts in the NHL. Its hard to find data beyond year to year, but if we are to assume its somewhere around that number, he's pretty good at shootouts.

Well, he did play Buchnevich on a 4th line as well. Russian AV. RAV going forward.

He never coached Buchnevich. That was Rangers legend Sergei Zubov.

Znarok is a lot like AV though. Very "old-school" mentality to coaching. Loves his grinders, goes with veterans over good younger players. He has "his players", and if you aren't part of that group of players, you probably won't play or in the case of the Russian National Team, won't be called in.

They are playing Kosk again...he's given up 3 goals on 12 shots so far

Tied 3-3 in the 2nd. I really hope they lose.

Meanwhile his buddy Sorokin (Isle's prospect) has two shutouts in a row to lead his team up two games to none in their series.
