Brown is showing so far that his season last season wasnt a fluke. This kid has legit top 6 offensive ability IMO. Still early though
17 points in 23 games.

Marlies win 3-0. Bibeau with a shutout.
Now have won 3 of 4. Playing much better and really are finally scoring a decent amount

Any players that stood out?

Connor Brown was definitely the most notable for me. His feet were always moving and he just has that elusive, slippery quality to him - where he can squeeze past a check or through coverage. He's going to be a good one for sure.

Others: Carrick, Percy, Loov, and Frattin. Bibeau was also solid, although he didn't face a lot of quality chances.

Don't if it was brought up in the previous thread, But Fabrice Herzog will be playing in Switzerland again next season for Zurich, Who we actually have working agreement with no it's not too surprising really.

Happy to give the ZSC Lions the obligation of the young striker Fabrice Herzog known. The 19-year-old wing encounters the 2015/16 season back for two years to city club.

I think he'll do something similar to Loov. He'll come over when he's 21 or 22, after playing against some older competition, and then will try the AHL. His style is quite good for NA hockey, so I think he'll adapt quickly.

Gives him the 2nd highest PPG average amongst defensemen in the W, behind only Victoria's Joe Hicketts :amazed:

Also gives him a higher PPG than either of our highest drafted CHL forwards (Gauthier/Verhaeghe) :sarcasm:

I'm impressed with how Brown has been able to translate his game to the pro level. Showing to be a great prospect.

Valiev is my 2nd favourite prospect for the Leafs other than Nylander.

The kid has a high ceiling that was clouded by so many question marks.

Leafs took a risk with his clearly uncertain status, but its a big reward type of pick.

He wasn't drafted ahead of the likes of Zadorov, Nichuskin, Hertl etc in his KHL Draft year for no reason.

He's very talented and still has that untapped potential.

I think the Leafs take their time developing him, but he's certainly a valid option to be a Top 4 defender for this team in a few years.

Solid two-way game, good IQ and good puck movement and mobility will go a long way for this young man.

How is Finn progressing in his first year pro?

Hard to say. Has been in and out of the lineup with injuries. From my viewing, he has been decent but not great. Point totals dont help him though.
Loov has been better than Finn. Not worried about Matt as he will be fine

The reality of the Leafs prospects are there are no high end scorers on the Marlies.

If Connor Brown only has 5 goals this year after having 128 in the OHL last year. I am curious see how many Gauthier will get next year.

128 points*. I'd expect maybe 30-40 points if he's healthy and is given top6 minutes..

My biggest concern for Finn has always been his skating. This is going to determine if he is going to become a good NHL defenceman or a journeyman. I still like the pick, but we really have to hope he will work on it so he can take the next jump. He's got the smarts to play the game.
