The Czech Republic got off on the right foot at the 2013 U18 World Junior Championship, easily dispatching Latvia, 7-0, on Day 2 of this tournament. The Czech's received a strong performance from forward Dominik Kubalik, who registered five assists in the game.



Kubalik, a 95-born player who as of this writing was ranked 146th among North American skaters by Central Scouting, recently completed his rookie season in the OHL. He skated for the Sudbury Wolves, where he posted 17 goals and 17 assists for 34 points in 67 games.

This is Kubalik's first appearance with the Czech national team at this event, although the 6'1”, 176-pound forward has represented his country at other tournaments in previous seasons.… read more
