For a team that has regularly gotten little to no exposure nationally, what a difference a Stanley Cup makes:

NBC Appearances By Team (flex games included)

Chicago, Detroit - 5
Los Angeles, Pittsburgh - 4
NY Rangers, St. Louis - 3
Buffalo, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington - 2
Boston, Colorado, Minnesota San Jose - 1

On "big" NBC as much as the Penguins.

(3 games on NBC, 1 flex game on NBC/NBCSN, 3 games on NBCSN, 8 games on NHL Network)

So strange. Two games in a row vs. the same team in the same building.

Apparently the Ducks' schedule has them doing three in a rows a couple times. I guess Donald Fehr helped out to create the schedule and his baseball background bled into his work.

Quite honestly, with the way some buildings are jam packed for events (Staples being one), I'm surprised there were no weekend day/night doubleheaders. What I find odd about this, is in 1995 the lockout ended roughly the same time and the regular season ended May 3. What was so pressing this time around to end it 6 days earlier? If they had gone to May 3, it would have given a bit of breathing room to the schedule and allowed for better travel connections and wouldn't resemble baseball.

Okay, there is no valid reason for this

Feb. 17 @ Chicago 1030 (yup 1230 Central time)

I never heard of a game that early. Really?

You missed the game in Detroit. February 10th, the Kings play at 0930 in Detroit. The game is at 1230 Eastern to accommodate NBC. That is one game I suspect the Kings will lose.
