With the #199 pick the Detroit Red Wings select D Eric Brogar (East Germany)

The 6'8 giant has a nasty streak and the will to survive, trained to perform at the highest levels he is primed to win Olympic gold. The negatives are that he thinks ice hockey is a drinking game and thinks of skates as weapons to be used in martial arts.

The only real solid pick is Mantha, but then with him we have the Heart/dedication issues....

All those big canadian towers are long shots, and so are McKee, Nedomlel etc

Can you say skinny?

189 cm / 6'2" Weight: 67 kg / 148 lbs

where'd you get that number from? eliteprospects has him at 165 lbs

which is obviously still skinny but yeah

In all fairness, these prospects will be unknown quantities for years to come, it is important to give them a few years to prove themselves.

Go back and read some old draft threads around here. You'll have a good laugh.

This year, like others, will be no different. In the end, most teams only get 1-2 decent NHL players per draft and nobody ever truly knows who those guys are until you fast forward a few years.
