After the Islanders took all defenseman last year I cannot see them reaching for one when offensive talent like Horvat and Wennberg are still there

Also, you have Mantha listed twice

prettymuch zero chance the Canes take Nichushkin. Won't say absolutely zero but someone would have to slip some really good **** in JR's brownies for him to even consider it. The dude just doesn't do Russian players that aren't already established NHLers since getting burned badly on Knyazev.

Ristolainen, Nurse, or Monahan would be the likely 3 there.

We would take Monahan before Ristolainen. Nuge-Monahan is an incredible 1-2 punch down the middle. We do need defenceman but we need NHL ready defencemen, no more prospects.

Based on standings today, CBJ would have 14, 19 and 22 picks. Given those and your existing draft I would see somethign closer to 14 - Wennberg, 19 - Domi, 22 - Zykov. would absolutely love that for the CBJ. Not a big fan of Erne and do like Gauthier (could see him at 19 as well).

Canes will never draft a russian in the top 5.
Gautheir at 14 is too high after the 2nd part of the season he had.
Zykov will go higher then 30.

Your order is wrong. Buffalo picks 8th since they have fewer ROW.

^yup, list likely looks like this for the Oilers at #7....

1. C Sean Monahan
2. Elias Lindholm
3. Darnell Nurse
4. Rasmus Ristolainen.

don't be surprised if the Oilers try hard to trade up to get one of these d-men as well.

I'd take Valentin if I were Chicago. Hopefully they do too, if he's available at #30, which to me seems crazy.

NSH take Lindholm
CAR take Barkov

MCoshen, Klimchuk, Compher and Theodore are a lot higher then what they should be imo. No way does Compher go above 25 even if I like the guy and his performance at wjc was very good, same with the others who are all early-mid/late 2nd.

I would take Klimchuck, McCoshen, Domi, Hartman all before Fucale.

Flames have quite a few really good goalie prospects, Fucale might be the better of all of them, but I wouldn't pass on the high end potential those other picks could bring us.
