With Lupul's return nearing, another roster spot will have to be opened. If there's any market for Grabbo, I think he should go. Ideally, in exchange for a draft pick rather than a player. Every once in a while he puts on a super-human performance, but ultimately there are better options for Leafs at 2C (Kadri) and 3C (Bozak). I really think he lifts right out of this line-up. McClement can easily replace him on third line with Kulemin and Komorov. So here's hoping Nonis can move Grabbo and keep Bozak. If he can't be traded for a pick, he's a candidate for a compliance buyout.

I have a question for anyone with waiver knowledge; Obviously if the leafs want to bring Connolly up from the Marlies he will have to pass through re-entry waivers, but what I'm wondering is if they trade him to another team will he then be allowed to play in the NHL with the new team (without passing through re-entry)? Or will he have to pass through re-entry no matter what?

He can play on any NHL club that his traded to without going through waivers if his traded.

"I am not saying they will trade x player but that it's a possibility he will be traded":laugh:

"According to reports, sources of Eastern Conference league executives are speculating that Player X may become available by the trade deadline".

I wouldn't put all of the big guys in one line and small guys in another. I would mix it up if you have something like that. I would put Kadri between JVR and Perry. Getzlaf between Kessel and Lupul. Kulemin is not a fourth liner either.

If we can get another center, we really need to look at moving Grabs, one way or another. Playing 3C like he is isn't worth 5.5M. He is worth it as a 2C scoring 50-60 points with a solid D game, but he isn't that this year.

Move him, put Bozak there at 3M, and try to get a real 1C. Or use Kadri as the 1C.

I don't think he meant trade Grabo for Weiss, he was just speculating what Florida would give up for him.

They may be looking for a guy like Grabovski since it looks like Weiss is going to test free agency. Losing Weiss for nothing leaves a big hole in their roster, which Grabovski could replace considering he's signed longterm.

I actually think if Grabo is delt, will be during the summer. I suppose we need to try and get Bozak on a new deal....if not, imagine we will be delt before Grabo.

If they move Kessel for another big winger, I would use Kadri as #1C for sure. I agree that Grabo should be moved.

Re-entry waivers were scrapped with the new CBA. They no longer exist.

Man been saying this for a year + now, finally the masses are seeing the light, it took awhile like the Wilson threads, and some not seeing him as a problem, but sooner than later, posters come around.
