He's not bad for a bottom of the 2nd pick (#58) :)

With him, Vasilevskiy, Namestnikov, Nesterov. Sergeev and Gusev we have have some good Ruski's in the pipeline
Gusev is the most talented of the forwards, immense potential. Wish he was bigger though, after he moved to Amur who gave him a lot more ice time than CSKA and a more important role he he has begun showing why his game is so special, especially his last 5 or so matches. His contract expires at the end of the 2013-14 season, if he has an explosive year and a half I think he will come over to have a go with the Lightning. Always said he will be a late bloomer but I hope I am wrong and he has a big surge in development.

Edit: Tampa were crazy for not taking Grigorenko in the first round, great cohesion with Kucherov. Koekkoek was still a good pick but Grigorenko before the 2012 WJC was expected to go number 2 after Yakupov, amazing he dropped to 12.

Sergeev breaks his stick and nobody's a bro. Greedy Russians. :sarcasm:

Sticks to the back, boys.

If Russia ups their game, this game has the potential to be EPIC.

Silly Americans. Watching hockey in the middle of the night / morning. :sarcasm:

I kind of see the appeal of watching hockey early. You get the games out of the way and then you have the rest of the day for activities.

Like talking about said games.

Today, it gives Canadians a full day of mourning.

dear canadians, try crying on your keyboard to see what your tears type out.

Dear Yzerman,

Grigorenko.

Love,
Lightning fans around the world

That line is so good for Russia. I'm not picky, I'll take Slepyshev too :naughty:

Vasilevskiy kept the russians in the game, had a great game/tournament! Kucherov was a bit up and down today but seems to be a great asset nonetheless!

Makarov starts :/

edit:

Vasilevski is not the back up either? Do they not want to win?

edit edit:

Look at Canada 10 minutes into this game. This is the reason Russia you carry Vasilevski, one of the best goalies of the tournament as at least a back up.
