We all have Berglund penciled in as the second-line center. How many of us question that he's shown enough to-date to be considered as such, especially for a top team?

I find his skating a little slow and, but for a brilliant start to his rookie year and a great first round of last year's playoffs, his offensive numbers lacking.

Of course he is not nearly good enough to be a good second line center...but then neither is Backes good enough to be a true first line center.
Ideally the Blues would sign a #1 center and push both players to the lines they should be on.
Not going to happen of course, but it would be nice.

Berglund had 19 goals last year without a single PP goal. He upped his physical play last season. Definitely a solid 2 nd line center who should only get better.

That's a crazy stat. What had he averaged on the power play in the past? Also, did his PP assists suffer as well?

Wouldn't mind seeing a team like this actually, not sure how anteopov is defensively, but I'm sure he'd be a solid 3LC like arnott. I think Langs could come back for the same deal. Let dags walk maybe or trade him for a draft pick. Sign Whitney two years 6 million. Sign all RFAs to similar deals that they had for one year. Petro and Shatty get small raises on one year deals. The rest RFAs get prove yourself deals..

Absolutely! I've been secretly wanting Weiss as well.

Weiss could wear 18 or 19, but if he takes 9, Sobotka goes to 60, while Schwartz honors his sister by taking 17.
