Another PP assist for Butcher, great shot by Hartman.

Would love to see him release a shot from the point to see what he's got. His first pass out of the zone has been great. Don't seem to notice him to much in his own end which is probably ok. Doesn't seem afraid to play in the corners.

Gonna be fun to see how he progresses.

The Butcher is doing what he is supposed to be doing which is making good first passes and moving the puck up and down the ice.

This is looking like one hell of a good fifth round pick by us. I'm thinking the only reason he lasted that long was due to his size, if he can put on a few pounds of muscle the next couple of years we will have a solid puck moving/PP specialist dman much like JML with slightly better offensive upside.

DU lists him at 5' 10", 200 lbs. Short but stout, especially at age 18.

How in the world do you let a 16yr old to shoot after benching him for a period???

Either Bigras was injured or benched for the entire 3rd/OT.

SOme players that impressed me for the Czech are Vrana,Pastrnak(SP) and Simon.

Birgas played great for Canada offensively, completely undeserved that he didn't even touch the ice let n the 3rd period.

That shot by Vrana was insane, that was Semin good.

Pluntar also had an amazing Mae for the Czechs, definitely deserves a training camp invite to an NHL team.

Zacha is going to be a very good player for the 2015 draft as well.

Two of the most overrated players in junior hockey, Sean Day and Aaron Ekblad.

Pretty hilarious to see Canadian fans react to every loss as if the world is ending. Reminds me of the avs board some times.

@SEPH that Ekblad kid might be good just because he's much stronger than everyone else. Looking at him, it's like men vs boys. I'd be very wary of drafting him.

Vrana looks great, fast and that shot is a laser.

I agree, Bigras should have been given more icetime. I wouldn't say he was great offensively, he got himself in great position multiple times, but couldn't bury two point blank chances where he was wide open.

I just finished watching the Canada game. I counted at least 4 shifts from Bigras in the 3rd (16 mins left, long one from 13 to 11 minutes, 6 minutes left, 4 mintues). He wasn't benched in OT, he doesn't play 4 on 4.

Looking at the WJC... It's very hard to believe Bigras was close to making our NHL team this year. Even with our defensive core.

No doubt. I can't believe how many boneheaded plays he has been making. He is very good at defending off the rush because of his skating ability. But man, how many idiotic plays has he made? 10-15?

Bigras really hasn't looked good, but I wouldn't judge him based on the WJC. Regardless of how well he is playing, this will be a great learning experience for him.

It makes me think he looks a lot better in practice but struggles when he needs to be good. Apparently he impressed everybody at team Canada camp but now seems nervous. Same thing at Avs camp. Roy praised him every single day but then when he started playing a few exhibition game he didn't look ready.

Yeah, he hasn't been good at all.

That Slovak top line has been fantastic tho.

He looked great at scrimmages in Avs camp, not just practices.

People are too hard on Bigras.

He has been making mistakes and has had some rough moments but he doesn't look that bad. Who knows how much he'll play with Reinhart set to come back next game but it's still good experience for him.

....seriously I'm concerned about Bigras though.

Don't be he's a defensive defenseman playing with players who can't play a lick of defense. He would look much better on a team that plays within a structure. Dont get me wrong he has been bad but this tournament means very little in terms of his hockey career.
