Many thanks for that list. Sure we are still one year away from this draft and a lot could change (Who would have think, at this point of the year, that Huberdeau would go top 5 ?). I'm really looking forward to that draft. It seems to have a lot of depth especially on the back end.

Scouting 150 players from all over the world, in multiple leagues, is a difficult task for one person, but you could add some substance to your evaluation by adding a couple of items;

How many times you have seen each player live?
How many times you have seen them on video?
Data gathered from Pro scouts?
Data gathered from HF board hype?

Tormentor's List Ranking took into account some standard publications, just trying to determine your ability and knowledge level to rank 150 players.

I have seen a couple of the players live, I did ALOT of research, not only just asking people, going through plenty of video and thoughts on certain players from other people around the internet. With the WHL coming to my hometown this year. I'm looking towards creating a blog and to be able to catch some of the WHL prospects in action, then would I have a better understanding of who is better then who, ranking them and what not. I am dedicated and this took alot of hard work, but I could be wrong on some rankings when it comes to European players and some players in the USA. I am very CHL aware, as well as the BCHL, I myself am only in high school.

Updated, getting ready for next season early.

Is there a good site on who has signed a contract with junior teams? Or players guaranteed to play next season with a certain team, it's just a pain going site by site to find who has committed.

Good haul for the Hitmen there. A good young goaltender for a very good price.

Tri City clearly has big plans for Comrie this year. Can't wait to watch a few of his starts.

Hey TG, would you know by any chance if Tyler Pham, 3rd pick overall in the 2011 USHL draft, is half Vietnamese half American? His last name sound quite Vietnamese and it would be great to see the 1st Vietnamese drafted in the NHL. If you know anything about him, could you give me a short report? Thanks

Updated a bunch.

Including all the invitees to QMJHL Camps, I will be doing the same for the OHL and WHL camps, if rosters are released.

From Latvia, Girgensons is a sure 1st rounder (at least at the moment though a season is still ahead...)
Number 2 would be Teodors Blugers from Shattuck who's somehow not on the list while Stepan and Gillespie is... I think he has a chance to go from 3rd- 7th rounds

Realistically, at the moment there are no other clear options. Bazēvičs has been drafted in WHL so if he does well there (a big if, for a rookie...), he might get some recognition. Last year played Swedish U18 Elite...
Roberts Lipsbergs is realistically one of three 1994 who'll be on Latvia's WJC roster this year (along with Girgensons and Bļugers)... He has 2+1 in two Latvia's U20 preparatory games in a tournament happening now in Riga. Next year he'll play in Russian major juniors MHL... though he needs a really massive season and good play in U18 and U20 worlds (if he indeed goes) to get spotted. but at least he'll also play in top junior league. He's also smallish so might not be NHL prospect...
Jevpalovs will probably also play in MHL for Riga but a year in GMHL has given nothing to him... Though, we'll see. Edgars KļaviņÅ¡ will play for AIK in Superelit this year but he's over the age (1993)... though there is an indication that he might be one of the leaders on the team, he's big so might be picked in the 7th round, knowing that scouts love to draft players out of Superelit these days...

For others.... Semjonovs, Lavrovs... they'll only play in U18 Elite in Sweden and probably Division 1 men hockey. I think they draft players out of division 1 so if they show great hockey there.... but that's a big if. Last year they both had some games in Division 1 but I dunno.... they really have to show amazing scoring stats.

Goalie Merzlikins.... will probably be our nr.1 in U18 so we'll see. Though i don't expect anything.

Realistically 2 should be drafted... 3 or more would be too good to be true.

where is brandon fransico in all of this? id have to imagine his stock will improve playing for kitchener?

As for the kid who played in the gmhl..i hope he plays in the mhl it will be better for his development..the gmhl is not known to develop good players..its more of a business and a scam these euro's should stay home and develope there.

Fransisco was born on February 11, 1993.

Therefore 2011 eligible.

I deleted Bluegers from the list earlier on.

I will put him back on the list.
