Spits fan trying to jinx the knights :nod:Yes no doubt they are the team to beat.Lots of depth for sure.Problem is there is a lot of games between now and the playoffs and a few injuries such as Patterson or Horvat or Domi getting hurt could change things around.Good Luck to all the teams

If before the new year started, you told me that the Knights would get a goalie drafted in the 2nd round of last years nhl draft and a top 4 defenceman without giving up a single asset, I'd be happy.
However, seeing what Kitchener and Owen Sound have done we need to make a move to keep up. Dont care about next year, this is this year. If Domi and Horvat get drafted to teams who keep them up, then how good does next year look? You play for this year (while keeping an eye on next year).
Looking further down the road, Halifax added a shotblocking penalty killing face off specialist with 20 something goals (can you say Austin Watson) named MacAuley from St John's.
Come on Mark, do not miss out on a Trochek or Strome....make it happen! :help:

Knights will probably take a flyer on Strome. Of course Hunter would have already talked to NYI and know he's coming back. But will only pay conditional draft picks for him because to everybody other than Hunter Strome coming back will be up in the air.

Domi ranked 13th currently on TSN's Craig Button list of top prospects list while Horvat is 30th.......lately, very few players who are not in the top 5 play in the NHL at 18 years of age. They'll be playing in London next season....

Are you aware the asking prices ?

Trochek is going to take a pair of prospects to land since Hunters don't have a 96. So I can see where Mark and Dale are very hesitant to part with a Liberati, Elie for a rental.

Maybe by the end of tomorrow when prices slide they come in late....but right now it seems they are holding onto their kids.

Not even top 5 usually. No chance these guys are in the show next year. Both would be lucky to make it in 3-5 years.

How could I be? I doubt you know what the asking prices are. Isn't Herbst a 96? I'd part with Jammes or Pawley in a heartbeat even for a rental. Bottom line is, when teams like Owen Sound and Kitchener acquire the talent they have it becomes a bit scary to stand pat.
Regarding Domi and Horvat - next year - ok, you are all probably right they will be back. My point is, a lot can happen in a year. If you have a great team why not try to put it over the top?
And a '96 and/or 'kids' like Pawley, Jammes, Liberati are not going to be the difference of whether or not we are a great team next year.

Just told 3 possible #OHL trades. I'll give player details only if/when I can confirm. #Plymouth #Saginaw #Barrie #Niagara #London #Sudbury

Now Barrie/Niagara happened with the Perlini trade. So Plymouth, Saginaw, Sudbury and London have to come together in some form. Would Saginaw trade with Plymouth? If not it seems it's Sudbury/Plymouth and London/Saginaw making deals...

Do you think Pawley+Jammes+Liberati= Trocheck?

According to Mark Edwards (on twitter), if the Plymouth trade goes through, Whaler fans will be very happy. (no word on who the trade partner is.)
