I must say I was surprised at Tim Erixon, he might have been good in the wjc but I'd go so far as to say he has been outshined in SEL by both Larsson and Burström. He does have one hell of a slapshot though.
And congrats to him! :handclap:

Rundblad has been in a bit of a funk lately, I hope it has something to do with his ridiculous TOI.

..and please no Rundblad-S.Erixon again MÃ¥rts..

Pretty boring roster, kind of fun to see what Hjalmarsson can do though and nice to see Tim Erixon getting a spot. Another thing worth of noticing is that lot of the players on the team seem to be in a slump at the moment.

Great team that will blow everyone away :sarcasm:

No but seriously, it's meh throughout. With so many players playing minor league hockey in NA these days, our pool of good non-NHL players have decreased significantly. Add Weinhandl, MÃ¥rtensson and a few others and we have half a team missing.

OK roster. Surely, I expected more big names like Weinhandl and Mortensson at home tourney, but nevertheless it's not a bad team.

Only strange picks are Melin and Fernholm who have rather average seasons. Nilsson and Ersberg are injured same for Davidsson. Junland, Kris Berglund, S.Kronwall are all better than Fernholm but not by much right now.

I think Videll deserve another chance on tre kronor.

41 games 17goals 16assist and in good shape. Thats good for 9th in the scoring race (6th amongs swedes).

Dunno how many points Brodin has? 1+1?

goalies scare the hell out of me, but the purpose of Eurotour is not to come first (while doesn't hurt) but to test drive all you have got in terms of talent.

I agree, but there are several players that have no business even getting a try out.

At the same time, there are several players that I think should get a shot:

Mirnov
Bushuev
Rylov
Proskuryakov
Anikeenko
A. Belov

How is Trubachev doing? I really liked him in 2003 WJC.

Also curious about F.Fedorov - always kinda rooted for him.

Biryukov is good this season. He has better stats than Koshechkin.

Agree. I really wanted to see Mirnov and Bushuev.

I never said Koshechkin was good, have I? Barulyin is probably the best Russian goalie playing in Russia, had he been able to cut his brainfarts down to minimum, when he looses concentration and allowes long distance softies. Volkov, Biryukov, Koshechki, Eremenko are all inconsistent.

Barulin refused himself. He has some problems with health.

not very much into KHL, didnt check this particular roster for what teams players play for, but from last years always paid attention and noticed more tend to come from Salavat, team Bykov coaches.

yes this is the team where he gives young guy a shot... but never liked seeing 4-5 players from Salavat when theres so many others who should be given a chance
might not be the case here but neverl iked the way he picks temas for thsi tournament

6-1 Sweden versus the Czechs. Would have been a bigger deficit without the stellar goaltending of Stepanek. Czech skaters didn't seem to care about this game.
