Round 1:

1. Edmonton - Tyler Seguin
The Edmonton Oilers feel that Tyler Seguin is the right choice for our organization. With players in the system like Jordan Eberle and Magnus Parjaarvi-Svensson, a future #1 centre is exactly what the Oilers need. Seguin is an elite playmaking force but also know how to put the puck in the net. His vision is unmatched. Seguin has incredible hockey smarts and plays the game at his speed. He is a game-controller and a game-changer, and we are extraordinarily proud to have this young man as the future face of our organization.

2. Boston (From Toronto) - Taylor Hall
With an impressive and skilled all around game, an excellent release, and an ability to find open spaces on the ice, Taylor Hall will be an excellent fit for Boston as a dynamic scoring winger.

3. Florida - Erik Gudbranson
With his impressive mix of size, power, skating ability, untapped offensive potential and leadership qualities, we believe Erik Gudbranson has the makings of one of the top 2-way defensemen in the NHL and should, along with Dmitri Kulikov, make one of the best pairings of defensemen in the league. He will be one of the building blocks of a young, big, tough and skilled core for the Florida Panthers.

4. Columbus - Cam Fowler
Cam is a great player and we think he will be able to make an impact right away with this hockey club.

5. New York Islanders - Brandon Gormley
We believe that Gormley's well-rounded defensive game will help our young team as he anchors the Isles' blueline for the next years.

6. Tampa Bay - Brett Connolly
We feel that his skill set, versatility at all 3 forward positions (is listed in many places as C/LW AND C/RW), and RH shot make him the obvious choice, who provides solutions to possible concerns ranging from lack of enough top-flight scoring wingers to play with both current centres, someone to step into Martin St.Louis' role as an elite goal scorer on the wing, and a possible #2 centreman in the event of a post-Lecavalier apocalypse. We also prefer to ignore the fact that injuries are even a concern, because the league will no doubt throw us some kind of bone should the unthinkable happen. We brought a Cup to Florida not long ago, and Bettman loves that. ;)

7. Carolina - Nino Niederreiter
We feel Niederreiter fits our team perfectly. He's a big power forward who love to drive the net and get his nose dirty. He's got that "wow" factor going for him and he's going to be a fan favorite in Carolina for many years. We can already see him playing on Eric Staal wing for many years. Had an amazing WJC and took his game to another level in the whl playoff.

8. Atlanta - Derek Forbort
We expect the pairing of Forbort and Bogosian to be a tower of power on the blue line for the next 12-15 years.

9. Minnesota - Vladimir Tarasenko
We simply felt Tarasenko was the BPA available at this point. With Vladimir, we feel that we're adding a young man with tremendous upside to the organization. He skates well and can be explosive on the puck. He also has some of the best hands in the entire draft. We're looking into possibly bringing him over to North America as quickly as possible. We feel that he already has an NHL-calibre release and we cannot wait for this gamebreaker to suit up for our hockey club.

10. New York Rangers - Alexander Burmistrov
We could not pass him up in this position, as he is a stand out player well balanced in all aspects of the game. He has supreme skill and speed. He works hard at both ends of the ice and understands the importance of defensive responsibility. He can kill penalties and put the puck in the net! We feel that he has strong potential and plenty of skill to build on, and look forward to his continued development with the NYR.

11. Dallas - Mark Pysyk
We are very happy to select Mark with our pick in this year's first round. Mark has tremendous skating ability, as well as great vision and puck distribution. We are excited to add a defenseman of Mark's skill level to our prospect crop and believe he can develop to be a productive offensive defenseman.

12. Anaheim - Mikael Granlund
At this point of the draft, we feel he's the best player available. He's not the biggest forward, but he'll fit well on a ducks team and we feel he'll make us forget the Teemu Selanne departure in a near future. His skills level is high, just like his high end potential so we are very happy with this selection.

13. Phoenix (From Calgary) - Nick Bjugstad
This player has the best mix between pure skills and dedication to the game. He's responsible in all zones, great skater for his size which not only means fast but agile as well (I know I'm clearly pissing the Montreal organization right now and I Looooove it). Great 2-way awareness to go with that so we truly believe we have a gem in our hands right now. Our next step do to is to find everything nasty we can on the Gophers management so they'd be all fired before Bjugstad joins them....we're working on it....

14. St.Louis - Ryan Johansen

15. Montreal - Jeff Skinner
He had an amazing playoffs with the Rangers and we are extremely excited to add a player with his offensive abilities.

16. Anaheim (From Philadelphia) - Emerson Etem
We are happy to get one of the best scorer of the draft. He's a hard worker and not afraid of anyone. He'll battle hard for the puck and he'll score goals at every level. With him, Granlund and our current group of young forwards, our offence will be fully loaded for years to come.

17. Boston - Jonathan Merill

18. Ottawa - Jaden Schwartz

19. Colorado - Austin Watson
Watson has molded into an excellent two-way player and has emerged as a bona fide top 10 pick for the 2010 HL draft. He is arguably one of the smartest players available in the draft and we are very surprised to see him still avalible for our selection. As the year progressed we began to really appreciate the skill and hockey sense that Watson offers. He has great size and he skates very well. Competes hard for the puck and can be used in critical situations when the game is on the line. A great team leader that can score or check the top lines in the league.

20. Buffalo - Tyler Toffoli
The GM was literally writhing his pick down, and halfway to the podium realize that his pick would be a terrible error. Instead, we feel as if letting Toffoli go by would be a terrible mistake. Skill and finishing abilities are what define Tyler's game and scoring 76 points in Ottawa's last 55 games is exactly the kind of explosive scoring needed in the Buffalo top 6. Tyler already has the size to play on a top line in the NHL, but over the offseason, we as well as he expects to condition and put on additional weight to be able to receive- and dish out serious punishment.

21. Nashville - Jordan Weal
We think that right now, it's the perfect time for this franchise to roll the dice on a supremely skilled foward, and at this point Weal fits exactly what we're looking for. Small, but very quick, he instantly becomes the best playmaker in our system, and we're looking forward to see him next to our big body presences.

22. Los Angeles - Brock Nelson
We decided to go with the BPA mentality and Brock potential & pedigree are phenomenal and hard to pass by. He's heading to University of North Dakota next year which is a great program and we expect him to really develop into a top 6 player in the future as a winger or center. He has the 3 s which are Size, Skating, Skills and we are thrill to have him with our organization.

23. Pittsburgh - Kirill Kabanov
We are indeed aware of some of the latest news concerning the young talent but we are convinced that the opportunity to play with Malkin will be attractive enough to lure him over. We are hopeful that under Malkin's tutelage, he will be put back on the right track. Kabanov will provide much needed secondary offense, sniping ability along with a smooth skating style.

24. Detroit - Riley Sheahan
We are proud to welcome Riley into the Red Wings' organization. He is a very special player who, as an 18 year old, already has the body to play in the NHL. He still has a lot to learn, but he brings a great mix of physical assets and pure skill and we couldn't pass a player like him. We trust Notre Dame is a great place for Riley to progress and learn the game. We will not comment his recent run-in with the law, but we will say that we believe it is a small bump on the road for a young man who is learning life.

25. Atlanta (From New Jersey) - Jack Campbell
In Jack Campbell, we believe we have a world class goalie. He was by the far the best player available on our list and we are both surprised and elated to pick him up so late in the 1st round. Campbell has proven himself against the top Junior aged talent in the world and on the biggest stage. The kid is a true champion and we're extremely happy to have him in the organization.

26. Vancouver - Quinton Howden
We were surprised to see Quinton still available when our turn came around. His combination of speed and size definitely made him hard to pass up. He possesses a lethal shot, which we hope will translate to the higher levels.

27. Phoenix - John McFarland
The Phoenix Coyotes decide to go with who they feel is the BPA at this time and pick John McFarland from the Sudbury Wolves. We feel that the consistency he needs in his game will one day be up to par with the natural he has. He also has already proved that he's visible in big showings which to us prooves that he has the potential to elevate his game. Was once touted as a top pick in this draft. He'll prove soon that he should've finally be picked before.

28. Chicago - Kevin Hayes
We love this pick because Hayes is a big forward (6'2 200lbs) that can skate, scores goals, make plays and control the puck without losing speed and he also has a great hockey IQ. We're looking forward to see him at Boston College soon.

29. San Jose - Martin Marincin
We know we probably passed on some other names but we felt that one of our biggest needs was a big body presence on the blue line and Martin fits in perfectly. We feel he has a huge upside and will be a key part of our blue line in the future.

30. Washington - Dylan McIlrath

Round 2:

31. Edmonton - Alex Petrovic
The Edmonton Oilers are very proud to draft a homegrown player with their 2nd Round pick. The Edmonton native is a prototypical WHL defenseman, with great size and a rugged playing style. Petrovic competes hard on the ice, winning battles in the corner and always playing with a high level of intensity. His offensive skills are raw at this point, but he has a good shot and does a good job of getting it through to the net. Petrovic is a great addition to the Oilers prospect pool.

32. Boston (From Toronto) - Tyler Pitlick
We are really surprised to see such a talented kid still on the table at this point. Touted as one of the most impressive players in the State of Minnesota, and possesses a great offensive game mixed with a good frame and gritty game, we see Tyler being a great fit for the Bruins in the future.

33. Florida - Kevin Lind
His defensive ability is one of the best for defensemen in this draft. He is already big at 6'3, 200 lbs. He will play at a big program for Notre-Dame. We believe he has the potential to become a shutdown guy that will log high-minutes against the opposition's top lines somewhere down the road and will be an integral part of our already promising future defensive core made up of Kulikov, Gudbranson, Ellerby and Robak.

34. Columbus - Stanislav Galiev

35. New York Islanders - Evgeny Kuznetsov
We hope the Russian factor won't be an issue, and strongly believe Kuznetsov rates positively amongst the most talented players available in this year's draft.

36. Florida (From Boston, Tampa Bay) - Petr Straka
Petr is a promising, dynamic forward. He has a great skill level, as would indicate his 28 goals and 64 points in 62 regular seasons games in his rookie year. More importantly, he has shown the ability to elevate his game when it's crunch time, with 14 points in 12 playoff games. He has the potential to be a fixture in our top 6 and complement fellow Czech, Michael Frolik.

37. Carolina - Brad Ross
Brad will bring toughness and scoring ability to our hockey club that his really needed. he's the best agitator in the draft and has underated hockey skill as he had more points this year than Nino and Johanson. we're really happy to have reunited 2/3 of the Portland Winterhawks top line with our top 2 pick.

38. New Jersey (From Atlanta) - Teemu Pulkkinen
Teemu has top ten talent and but for injuries would have been the top rated Euro. He showed in the recent U-18 that he has recovered fully and was one of the tournaments top players. He has an NHL calibre shot, good size and a great goal scorers instincts and determination.

39. Minnesota - Jarred Tinordi
Jared is a hulking, mean defenseman who we feel can develop into a top 4 defender down the road. He is already a physical specimen (standing at 6'5, 205 pounds) and he's a natural leader, captaining his current club. He needs to work on his play with the puck, and he'll certainly work on that aspect of his game for the University of Notre Dame. We're also impressed with his skating ability for a guy his size.

40. New York Rangers - Stephen Johns
We are pleased to select Defenceman Stephen Johns. Stephen has great size and strength, and we feel he is very close to NHL ready. We were impressed with his performance at the world Juniors where he won gold with team USA. We wanted a reliable defencemance who plays with a physical edge, and felt that Stephan would be the best choice for us.

41. Dallas - Tom Kuehnhackl
We are very happy that Thomas is still available at this point in the draft. We love the blend of speed and goal scoring ability on a 6'2'' frame. We look forward to Thomas making the jump to North America next year and progressing his development.

42. Anaheim - Joey Hishon
We feel he's a first round talent who was a bit forgotten because of an injury. Despite his young age, Hishon has been a leader offensively for the Owen Sound Attack, and if it wasn't for his injury, he would have been the scoring leader of his team, as well as a top scorer in the entire league. He's a fancy player with good sniping ability. At this point, he's simply our best player available.

43. Chicago (From Calgary) - Steven Shipley
Steven is a young men with good size and he might not be the most agile skater on the ice, but once he does get going, he's got the legs strength and balance to be able to get past defenders one on one. He's also an hard worker and is not afraid of going in the corners to get the puck.

44. St.Louis - Jared Knight
Jared proved us his true value in this year's playoffs with a magnificent performance that was unfortunately short, but certainly not because of his play. We welcome the addition of Jared to our organization and we believe he will mesh very well in the future with guys like Oshie and Berglund and will help us get closer to our goal.

45. Montreal - Charlie Coyle
We are thrilled to be adding a big kid like Charlie who is a powerful skater and is strong in the corners. He can play both center and wing while also being able to play the point on the powerplay due to his excellent vision. He has a hard shot and which we would like to see him use more when he goes to Boston University next year.

46. Los Angeles (From Philadelphia) - Beau Bennett
The LA kings brass are still shocked that he was still available with their 2nd round pick, they even considered him with their 1st pick. Now they have an elite winger in the organisation.

47. Boston - Ryan Martindale
We have another prototypical Bruins forward here: Good size, good two way game, impressive playmaking and finishing skills, and a great frame. Already a leader offensively and in the locker room for Ottawa, this kid breathes hockey, and we expect him to continue to progress and make an impact with our club.

48. Carolina (From Ottawa) - Jérôme Gauthier-Leduc
Gauthier-Leduc his a real good puck moving defensemen who will feel will really help our PP down the road. has a great shot from the point.

49. Colorado - Ludvig Rensfeldt
The big Swede has been steadily rising all season but being able to showcase his abilities in front of so many scouts was not something he had really had the opportunity to do as of yet. Rensfeldt has a terrific shot that can really cause trouble for goaltenders, especially when he fires it off the rush through screens. His big, strong body allows him to fend off checks and maintain possession down low and he is always a threat from every area in the offensive zone.

50. Carolina (From San Jose, Buffalo) - Oscar Lindberg
Lindberg is a hard working two-way centerman who we feel as upside of a 2nd line centerman in the nhl. good skater who dont mind the physical game and his effective in all 3 zone.

51. Edmonton (From Nashville) - Geoffrey Schemitsch
Geoffrey Schemitsch is an offensive defenseman from Toronto Canada... Schemitsch adds an offensive dimension to the Oilers' prospects' back-end.

52. Los Angeles - Calle Jarnkrok
Calle is an incredible playmaker, he definately has all the skills to become a top 6 forward in the NHL in the long run. He has draw some comparison with fellow country man like Nicklas Backstrom and Henrik Zetterberg. His biggest flaw it's his size at 5'11 165, but we fully expect him to grow up into his body for the future and join our team in 2 or 3 years.

53. Florida (From Pittsburgh) - Maxim Kitsyn
We've had him on our radar for the past year and a half. He brings a dangerous mix of size, skating ability, scoring touch and overall skill. We believe he has great potential and could help the Panthers' offense in the future.

54. Detroit - Troy Rutkowski
We feel that Troy is the prototypical d-man of the new NHL. He's big, he can hit but can also hold his own on the powerplay. He will need to improve on keeping his effort level constant, but we believe he can become a very successful player in the Red Wings' system.

55. Atlanta (From New Jersey) - Greg McKegg
We see Greg McKegg as a potential high scoring forward who can play at both centre or the wing. He had a huge breakout year this season in the OHL and we expect his rapid development to continue. He is very slippery with the puck and difficult to contain in the offensive zone and the rest of his game has become very sound under the tutelage of Robbie Ftorek.

56. Columbus (From Buffalo, Vancouver) - Adam Pettersson

57. Phoenix - Yasin Cisse
We just believe that this power forward to be has the potential required to become an NHL player one day. We love the speed and the agility that this big kid alreaday possesses. We love his arsenal of shots as well as his dedication to a complete game. The kid is going to a fine university in Boston University to complete the learning of the game and to fulfill his raw potential. If the injuries can leave the kid alone, we believe that the possible reward is worth the risk.

58. Chicago - Craig Cunningham
With Cunningham quick shot and smart play with the puck he has showed consistency around the net to capitalize on his chances. His size isn’t a concern because of his heart/passion and he will be a versatile player for us in the future.

59. New York Islanders (From Ottawa, San Jose) - Calvin Pickard
It was a big surprise to see Pickard fall to the end of the second round. We believe this is a very strong draft year for netminders with three of them being worth first round consideration. Pickard moves well, displays great composure and a willingness to battle for every stop. He solidifies the team's goaltending depth.

60. Minnesota (From Washington) - Brock Beukeboom
We're absolutely thrilled to get Brock at the 60th position, and we were surprised he was still available. Brock is a physical defenseman with a hard, accurate shot from the blueline. He's very mobile on his skates and we feel that he can develop into a solid, two-way defender for our hockey club down the road. With Tyler Cuma, Marco Scandella, and now Jarred Tinordi and Brock Beukeboom, we feel we're set on defense for years to come.

Round 3:

61. Edmonton - Ryan Spooner
The Oiler are happy to see Ryan Spooner fall into our hands... Spooner's offensive skills are first round calibur without a doubt.. If he can improve his play in his own end, Spooner could make the Edmonton Oilers look very smart.

62. Toronto - Victor Ohman
We feel Ohman brings different dimensions to his game, he is physical, has great hockey sense and can also be a dangerous scorer. We look forward to him wearing our uniform next year, since we basically have nobody else to play at forward.

63. Tampa Bay (From LA, Florida) - Austin Madaisky
While this may seem like a "safe" pick, we haven't forgotten that this guy replaced Erik Gudbranson at this year's Top Prospects game and is a former 1st round pick in the 2007 Bantam draft. A big, solid and reliable defenseman, we also see a lot of untapped offensive potential in Austin. After putting up 3 goals and 6 points in 4 playoff games against Evander Kane's Vancouver Giants this year, we look forward to him getting plenty of opportunities to further develop his incredible raw skills in all situations as a top defenseman next year on a Blazers squad that is undergoing somewhat of a rebuild.

64. Calgary (From Columbus) - Justin Shugg
We at the Flames organization, have been observing Justin for awhile now, and enjoyed his performance with Hockey Stud Taylor Hall. We see how he produces with quality players, and we feel that in the long run Justin can turn into a top 6 forward with the right coaching, and our prospect Mikael Backlund by his side. This is what made Just Shugg the right choice for the Calgary Flames.

65. New York Islanders - Julian Melchiori
We look at Melchiori as a long term project that could pan out to be an excellent defenseman at the pro level. He has a lot of size to fill into and he displays great skating ability. He was a key into leading his team to the CCHL championship, but we should really have a better idea when we see how he fares next year at UMass-Lowell.

66. Tampa Bay - Justin Faulk
While concerns over his fitness have seen his draft ranking drop, the Lightning are looking for a pure offensive defenseman, and think they have found one in Faulk. Good, accurate shot (which he loves to use), excellent vision and transition passing game, and hockey I.Q. are just some of his qualities that caught our eyes. Although not overly physical, he doesn't shy away from it, and has shown an ability to stick with anyone who comes his way.

67. Carolina - Jason Zucker
Zucker is fast as hell and a heck of a two-way winger. even if he's small he's not affraid of playing a physical game. Won 2 gold medal this year (WJC and U-18 WC). Zucker is a big game players...always play better in those big game. We see him at the nhl level as a Chad Larose type players. going to a great NCAA program at Denver University next year.

68. Buffalo (From Atlanta) - Felix Liljegren
We took a risk on this guy here. We never really scouted the Scandinavian leagues, but once we found out about a kid listed at 6'4 225 we knew we had to check him out. There's not much out there on this guy, but by watching him play, we found was that this kid has some pretty neat offensive skills, and by his 16PIM in 9 games in the Elite league, we know that he's a guy who's not afraid to mix it up. Even though his size is more than NHL ready, we want to see at least another year either at home or over here to get used to the North American game. With such a little sample of games played, Felix is a risky pick. But if he pans out, we see no reason why a player with his physical tools can't be a force in the NHL for years.

69. Minnesota - Connor Brickley
Connor Brickley is a speed demon who isn't afraid to use his body. He has a solid frame (6'2, 195 pounds) that he uses to his advantage while gaining the offensive zone. He also has a quick, accurate release that we view as one of the better ones available in this years draft class. We believe he can develop into a strong, two-way forward.

70. Los Angeles (From New York Rangers) - Michael Bournival
Michael is a dream coach player: He is very intense, very coachable, a good leader on and off the ice, as for his hockey skills he is great skater with quick feet and good hands. We again go with the small size with this selection but we expect him to play in the NHL one day because of his desire and solid work ethic.

71. Dallas - Louis Domingue
The Dallas Stars are very happy to add a goalie of Louis' skillset and size to the organization. We are excited to monitor Louis' progression in major junior and feel he helps round out our prospect organizational depth.

72. Tampa Bay (From Anaheim) - Jonathan Johansson
Johansson is a big centre who plays an excellent two-way game and has highly-developed hockey sense. He's widely known as a team player who feels at ease in a leadership role. With a little work on his skating, we think his ability to accurately distribute the puck will help get the most out of the wingers he plays with and add stability and balance down the centre for the team.

73. Calgary - Johan Larsson
He is a dynamic and intelligent player who works extremely hard and is beyond competitive. His skill set isn't over the top or flashy by any means, but he does come with a bag of tricks he can rely on to create space when needed.

74. St.Louis - Brendan Gallagher
Brendan is a warrior. He stepped up his game during the playoffs to help his team reach semi-finals of the WHL. Despite his size, we believe that Brendan and his excellent determination will make him a NHL player one day.

75. Atlanta (From Montreal) - Kenneth Agostino
Our scouts are in love with the speed, work ethic and competitive fire of Kenneth Agostino. He lit up the lamp in high school and will begin his college career at Yale. We see him as potential future captain material.

76. Philadelphia - Ivan Telegin
The Russian uses his size to his advantage and plays a very simple game, drive the net and create traffic. His puck skills are solid, but his real forte is his net play, which is where he scores a significant portion of his goals. A Russian World Junior representative, Telegin has a lot of attributes that should translate into an effective NHL player. He's already playing in North America so it shows that he wants to be a NHLer so we have no concern.

77. Buffalo (From Boston) - Patrik Nemeth
Buffalo has never had luck drafting big offensively capable defensemen. Oh wait. Actually, that's a lie. Patrik is listed at 6'3 212 and had 8 points in 19 games on the international stage with Sweden. Oh yeah, and he had 72PIM in those 19 games too. Patrik's shown that he's a good pivot on the PP, uses the body, and is already a pretty good contributor for AIK in the SEL. We hope to get him over here as quick as possible, because we think that even though he is a mid rounder, expect him to crack our roster faster than one would think.

78. Ottawa - Stephen Silas

79. Colorado - Curtis Hamilton
Finally starting to get scouts attention after an injury-plagued season. Although smooth on his skates Hamilton has to add bulk on his 6’2 frame. Has the size and skill that NHL scouts look for.

80. Buffalo - Andrew Yogan
Andrew is already a huge specimen who uses his weight during games. Although his season was cut with injuries, we feel this 6'3 202 kid is going to bounce back and be one of those clutch guys any coach drools about at the end of the game.

81. Nashville - Max Gardiner
I'm not all that high on picking HS kids, but I feel Gardiner's size and skills are too good to pass up at this point. I also offer assistance to the Coyotes organization in finding dirt on the Gophers staff.

82. Los Angeles - Kent Simpson
Kent Simpson was too hard to let go at this stage of the draft, he is a fundamentally sound goaltender with no apparent weakness in his game. He didn't get the chance to play a lot this year but his talent should be more apparent later in his career once he gets more starts.

83. Pittsburgh - Jakub Culek

84. Detroit - Joonas Donskoi
Joonas is a very skilled player and we are very proud to welcome him into the Wings' organization. We believe he was the third best Finnish skater in this draft after Granlund and Pulkkinen and we believe he could develop into an impact player for us in a couple years.

85. New Jersey - Mark Alt
Alt is a big body with a lot of will and determination. He loves to rush the puck and carry the play and will be going to a good program with the University of Minnesota next year. He's a raw prospect but with a lot of potential.

86. Carolina (From Vancouver) - Danny Biega
Biega is a strong skater who can move the puck well out of his zone. not flashy offensively but he's a strong shut-down d-man. good hockey sense and poised beyond his years. really competitive kid who has a strong work ethic.

87. New York Islanders (From Phoenix) - Joe Basaraba
We feel Basaraba has a lot of offensive potential, and he has a big frame which he likes to use to his advantage. He has what it takes to be one of the sleepers of the 2010 draft class.

88. Chicago - Fredrik Pettersson-Wentzel
Our scouts tell us he is a skilled goalie with a good basic technique and an explosive style. He has no major weaknesses and a good mental. Added to the fact that he has the best stats and by far in the Swedish Second League, for a 18 year old playing against older players, impressive.

89. San Jose - Brandon Hynes
We felt that this kid has a lot of skill and potential and with the new era, we are not worried at all about his size. Him getting over a PPG in only his second year in junior proves he has lots of skills.

90. Washington - Christian Thomas
His bloodlines are impeccable and as he showed in the U18 tournament he can play against the best of his age group.

Round 4:

91. Edmonton - Bill Arnold
Bill Arnold is another pick from a strong USNTDP draft class... Arnold is committed to Boston College and the Oilers are confident that BC is the perfect development path for the Massachusetts native.

92. Florida (From Toronto) - Brett Bulmer
Brett is a gritty forward that will hopefully develop into a reliable roleplayer, if not a bigger role. He brings energy, physical play, skill and a great compete level to our farm system.

93. Florida - Benjamin Conz
He has shown unbelievable competitiveness and talent in his WJC performance this year and has opened quite a few NHL eyes in the process. No matter what weakness he possesses, we believe he can overcome them with his skill and determination, and he brings exactly the right attitude and frame of mind to fit in the new culture our organization wishes to establish.

94. Columbus - Ryan Harrison

95. New York Islanders - Joey Leach

96. Tampa Bay - Sebastian Wannstrom
We're excited that the leading scorer (goals AND points) on a team (and, in fact, the entire league) that has reached the finals 3 consecutive years (1 championship) in Sweden's SuperElit league is still available here in the 4th round. Big, but not huge, his main assets are his speed, love of physical play, and knack for finding the back of the net. His stock is still on the rise due to his performances internationally, and he could very well be groomed as Johansson's future RWer.

97. Boston (From Carolina) - Patrick McNally
Patrick has improved leaps and bounds throughout the year, and with his potential size and offensive punch from the blueline, we think Patrick would be a great fit down the line and is a great addition to our prospect pool.

98. Buffalo (From Atlanta) - Devante Smith-Pelly
Passing... Finnishing... Fiest, Devante's got it all. Leading his team with 62 points in 60 games, we know he's got what it takes to produce. And from scouting this guy profoundly, this guy has serious fighting ability, and isn't afraid to mix it up when someone challenges him. Watch out for Devante to be one of the biggest late round steals of this year, because tools and size and skill are three things that Smith-Pelly has, and uses.

99. Minnesota - Kevin Sundher
Kevin is a lightning-quick center who has impressive playmaking abilities and isn't afraid to go into the dirty areas. We're particularly impressed with his creativity and his puck-handling skills, and we're excited to add him to our prospect group.

100. New York Rangers - Brandon Davidson
Brandon is a strong well balanced defenseman who put up some solid numbers in the WHL this season. He plays a smart game, and works very hard. Given his slow transition into junior followed by some impressive results, we feel that he could be a sleeper pick and that he can continue to improve with more development.

101. Atlanta (From Dallas) - Matt MacKenzie
MacKenzie's a solid all-around defenseman whose offensive play came a long way this season. He raised his play another notch in the playoffs as is reflected in his stats and we're amazed that the 2010 Memorial Cup MVP was still available at pick #101.

102. Anaheim - Brandon Archibald

103. Calgary - Pathrik Vesterholm
We at the Calgary Flames organization are absolutely thrilled that Pathrik was available at our pick, and when we saw him we felt it was a no brainer, we hope to bring him over and we see star potential in him.

104. St.Louis - Taylor Aronson
We are quite surprised that Taylor lasted that long after such great playoffs where he tuned it up a notch to display his great natural talent.

105. Montreal - Dalton Smith
He's a kid with good size and we like that he can play at both ends of the ice and throw his weight around. Dalton also isn't afraid to drops the gloves and stick up for teammates. He has played some center before but has mostly played wing this year and we see him more as a winger once he turns pro. One aspect of his game he needs to work on however is his skating, but it has been improving over the year. He also is a very good leader and will likely be wearing a letter on his jersey as soon as next season with the 67s.

106. Philadelphia - Justin Holl
Perhaps a reach, but the Mr.Hockey finalist and first team all-star D is a silky smooth skater with great agility which make his transitions look effortless. Due to Holl's great awareness and hockey smarts, he has a knack of gaining and keeping zones. Holl knows when he should join the rush up ice and when to stay home on defense. Needs to refine his play around the defensive goal but this is far from a weakness. Holl gives a great effort each night and has the skill to be competitive at the next level.

107. Boston - Alexei Marchenko
We feel that if we are able to get him over, this kid could be a potential steal. He has all the tools to be an excellent defensemen, and he is one of the most talented blueliners in his draft class.

108. Ottawa - Kevin Gravel
Kevin's size (6'4) and skating ability for somebody that size, meant we couldn't pass up on this guy. He is not know for his offensively skills, but he has excellent defensive positioning and has a good first pass. We will make sure Kevin learns to be more physical and use his size more, but we see him developing into a very solid mid pairing defenseman in the NHL.

109. Colorado - Philipp Grubauer

110. Phoenix (From Buffalo) - Brooks Macek
This kid possesses speed, pure talent and is not afraid to play the body despite not having the biggest one in there. Has a superior offensive awareness and already an NHL wrister.

111. Vancouver (From Nashville) - Petter Granberg
Petter is a big skilled defenseman whom we had the pleasure to watch play multiple times in Sweden, not to mention at the U-18 tournament, where he did not look out of place. His development curve has constantly been on the rise throughout the year. Combined with his natural skills and terrific defensive awareness, he made this an easy selection for the Vancouver Canucks.

112. Los Angeles - Alex Theriau
He is mostly a very safe defenseman that play solid defense first. He is a great skater with great mobility for a player his size. I definately believe he can develop into a top 6 defenseman in the NHL.

113. Pittsburgh - Mike Pereira
While this shifty playmaking left winger is not overly huge at 5'11, he has exceptional stickhandling ability with a propensity to crash the net. A great skater, he is also adequate defensively as he is played on the team's 1st PK unit frequently. Pereira put up 64 points in 29 games, proving his offensive prowess. He is committed to University of Massachusetts Amherst next year.

114. Detroit - Adam Polasek
Polasek is a big d-man who has offensive flair but also a physical edge. He shows great maturity and is a prototypical Wings draft pick. He had no problems adapting his game during his first year in North America and we believe he will be a steal for us.

115. New Jersey - Jason Clark
Clark has all the tools; good size, goal scorer's hands and skates well. Plays with a lot of confidence and works hard, will get some good coaching with the University of Wisconsin next year. We see a lot of Brian Rolston in this kid and think he's on a good development curve.

116. Vancouver - Nikita Zaytsev
We believe that we can afford to take a chance on this talented Russian player, as he's a very skilled player playing among men in the KHL at the tender age of 18. Once he fills out his 6'1 frame, there is no doubt in our mind that Zaytsev has the potential to be a top 4 defenseman in our organization.

117. Toronto (From Phoenix) - Tommy O'Regan

118. Chicago - Marcel Müller
We watched him at the Olympics for the German team and we liked his size, his speed and skating, his skills with the puck in the offensive zone and his aggressiveness.

119. Tampa Bay (From San Jose) - Louis-Marc Aubry
First of all, we hear he plays for the junior team in Ohashi_Jouzu's favourite Canadian city, and wears the same jersey number. That would be enough for us, but we also think we are getting a smart player who is solid in all three zones and still improving. Although more of a playmaker, he loves getting to the front of the net to tip pucks and get rebounds. He has worked hard to put on some weight and get stronger since last season, so we're very happy with the attitude and physical tools that come along with these skills.

120. Washington - Freddie Hamilton (missed pick)

Round 5:

121. Edmonton - Patric Cehlin
Patric Cehlin is an overage player (By less than 2 months) out of the Djurgarden system in the Swedish Elite League. An excellent skater. Cehlin accelerates really well and has good top speed. He is an offensive minded player with good technical skills and creativity. Passes the puck well and is a good scorer too.

122. Toronto - Jacob Fallon

123. Florida - Mark Stone
Even though Mark has had some concussion issues, we love his mix of size, skill, grit, toughness and two-way ability. He has a very high ceiling and could become a solid power forward for years to come.

124. Columbus - Josh Nicholls

125. New York Islanders - Philip Lane
We believe he has the size and style to be a power forward. He is not affraid to mix it up physically and he is very good on the forecheck. With a year in the OHL under his belt, we think he will have the confidence to break through offensively in the next season.

126. Nashville (From Tampa Bay) - Felix Andersson
Andersson oozes hockey sense, a quality we value above every other in our evaluation. His defensive game is very sound at such a young age, and he got intriguing offensive upside. We think he can become a valuable player for this team in the long run, and are thrilled to pick him at this point.

127. San Jose (From Carolina) - Zane Gothberg
We feel Zane has a huge upside for a goalie his age, he will also have lots of time to develop in the US Colleges and play through the US Junior program. We are very happy to select him and we feel he will develop into a solid goalie.

128. Atlanta - Johan Gustaffson
We feel fortunate to have now landed our top ranked European goalie in Gustaffson after also landing our top ranked North American goalie (Campbell) earlier in this year's entry draft.

129. Minnesota - Josh Shalla
Josh is a reliable two-way player who we feel is a solid pick-up this late in the draft. He definitely needs work on his skating, but we're looking forward to watching him progress.

130. New York Rangers - Kendall McFaull

131. Dallas - Viktor Svedberg
The Dallas Stars are happy to add this 6'9'' behemoth of a defenceman to our prospect pool. Viktor has the potential to develop into a premier shutdown defenceman.

132. Anaheim - Mark Visentin
We believe he has the upside to be a good goaltender in the league. He was playing behind a bad team and still had positives stats. He's a project, but with Hiller in the system, we can wait for him.

133. Calgary - Ponthus Vesterholm
We at the Flames organization, were just thrilled when we were able to select Pathrik, but to go next round and snag his brother Ponthus, is just an absolute no brainer for us. We feel these brothers will form a strong Tandem and be future stars for the Flames organization. His speed, skill, hockey sense are an absolute must for us, which made this pick an absolute no brainer for the Flames organization.

134. St.Louis - Sondre Olden
He's 6'4", can line up at any forward position and his skill set has been impressing on MoDo's J20 team (in fact, he has impressed at every upward step taken since leaving Norway for Sweden). He's quite skilled technically, with good puck control and is a very good skater for his size, as well as being reliable in terms of offensive output. Even though he's underweight at this time, he's still only 17.

135. Montreal - Nikita Dvurechensky
The Canadiens are very excited to add a player with Nikita's skill this late in the draft. Nikita was a teammate of last year's pick Alexander Avtsin and went undrafted last year but we have been very impressed with his speed and skills this year after watching him play many times.

136. Philadelphia - Sami Aittokallio
Sami's injury caused him to miss the U18 tourney where he could have had valuable exposure. This late in the draft and the fact that we need a damn goalie, we're willing to take the risk. Aittokallio's biggest strength is his intelligence. He has really good reflexes and athleticism but just seems to really be able to slow the play down and control it when he has to.

137. Boston - Daniel Krejci
We started watching him because of his brother, but then we just continued watching him because he is an excellent prospect and has a great two game. We look forward to adding another Krejci into our club, and hopefully he turns out as special as his brother David.

138. San Jose (From Ottawa) - Janos Hari
I have seen him play 4-5 times and impressed every time, he has tons of skills and could produce points, picking him this late is no risk...we could only be surprised.

139. Colorado - Morgan Ellis
Smooth skater, Ellis hits the net with regularity and he's effective when he gets to play the puck and use his feet. He's also very effective at keeping opponents on the outside due to his excellent lateral mobility. Also, Ellis doesn't hesitate to give out some hard hits and may possess a higher upside offensively than imagined.

140. Buffalo - Radko Gudas

141. Carolina (From Nashville) - Etienne Boutet
Boutet has good size and good mobility to one day be a solid nhler. he's a stay at home physical defensemen but in the 2nd half of the season was more confident with the puck and try more thing offensively. great character kid, well like by his teammate. Took his game to another level in the playoff and was really impressive in the Drumondville series againts the Didomenico-Couturier-Dumont line. a great open ice hitter too. One of the most underated prospects coming from the Q in this year draft.

142. Colorado (From Los Angeles) - Bryan Rust
Rust doesn't get the recognition he deserves. He has good cruising speed with the puck, makes hard, crisp passes and he's a confident stickhandler who can execute some nice lateral stickhandling moves and undress opposing defensemen. We are very surprised to see him still available because he had 2 strong international performances this winter (Six Nations Tournament and U18). A solid all-around hockey player.

143. Pittsburgh - Yaroslav Alshevsky (missed pick)

144. Detroit - Jérémie Blain
Jérémie is a very interesting prospect. He had a breakout season this year and we expect his play to keep rising as he gains experience with the Titan. At 18 years old, Blain already boasts impressive size at 6'2 and 190 pounds. He has very good offensive instincts and isn't scared to mix it up when the going gets rough. He still has a long way to go, but we believe that he will contribute in a Red Wings jersey in the future.

145. Toronto (From New Jersey) - Michael Chaput

146. Vancouver - Konrad Abeltshauser
We see some potential in Konrad, as he demonstrates good puck-moving skills to go with his big 6'5 frame, not to mention that he is a late 92', making him one of the youngest players in his draft class. He was one of the few bright spots in a otherwise underachieving Halifax squad, so we definitely hope he can carry on to the next season.

147. Washington (From Phoenix) - Mirkko Hoefflin

148. Atlanta (From Chicago) - Daniel Gunnarsson
Daniel is your prototypical tall, mobile Swedish defender with good puck moving skills.

149. Los Angeles (From San Jose) - Marek Hrivik
Marek was passed over last year and for that reason decided to move in Canada and play to get a 2nd look. He definately proved he was worth another look for the draft with his skills and size. He was also a vital part of the wildcats championship run and will continue to do so for the memorial cup.

150. Washington - Corey Durocher
Corey will become a power forward in the organization. He will be counted on to take a leadership role next year with his junior team.

To Habitants(NYR):

Well done. I really like the first 2 picks as they are definitely needs in the organization. Johns is a player we were talking about on our board a week or so ago and he is intriguing at 40 due to his size and physical presence that has lacked since Beukeboom was a Rangers in the 90's. Well done!

Very impressive draft, Tarasenko is high risk high reward, if he comes over it's potentially Datsyuk 2.0

Tinordi is solid, 6'5, smooth on his skates. Great pick

Beukeboom looked great this year, good stay-at-home d-man who had a good year offensively.

Brickley is a dark horse, if he's developed right. He may turn out as an elite scoring forward, I'm a huge fan and I think he can go far.

Not sold on Sundher, he is inconsistent and lazy at times, but is good offensively and not a bad 4th-round pick.

Shalla has wheels and the ability to put the puck in the net, may pay off if he continues to excel in junior.

Well done, that's an above-standard draft for a team who has a pretty brutal prospect pool.

Thanks man. I was actually surprised that Tinordi was available at 39, and was really surprised that Beukeboom was there at 60. I'm pretty high on both.

Shalla is the worst skating of all OHL prospects that are fully expected to get drafted this year. If Shalla was an excellent skater he's likely a 1st rounder.

P.S... Penguins fan here, and if Shero did that i'd call his office and request his resignation.. Instead of *****ing i'll put my picks at those spots just to play along and give my own opinions on who we'd take..

1/20: John McFarland - Center - Sudbury (OHL)
3/83: Christian Thomas - Right Wing - Oshawa (OHL)
4/113: Josh Shalla - Left Wing - Saginaw (OHL)
5/143: Austin Levi - Defenceman - Plymouth (OHL)

McFarland has some great high end potential, isn't as risky or as "out there" as Kabanov and if he actually decides to play with consistent effort and the Pens get him moved to the wing he's easily a top 6 scoring threat.

Thomas is a bit of a risky pick, but if he makes it it'll be as a top 6 winger with goal scoring acumen, great speed, and something the Penguins desparately need, and without a 2nd rounder, i expect a little cherry picking in terms of looking at where the best scorer on the board compares to the BPA

Shalla has an outstanding release on his shot, and is a threat to score everytime he touches the puck in the offensive zone. He's good along the walls, skating needs massive improvements but if it happens he becomes a legitimate NHL prospect.

Levi is a huge defenceman with a knack for throwing massive hits. His positioning improved throughout the year, without removing his physical presense. He would make an excellent #4-#5 defenceman int he future with the ability to punish opponents.

I know, all OHL guys just sticking with what i know, i'd be happy with this result out of Pittsburgh, although i'd like to look at other leagues as well if possible :) lol.

I don't think the Atlanta drafter knows much about our roster situation. They're good picks in isolation, but don't make much sense in an actual roster.

I like the best players available picks, but Campbell doesn't fit.

Currently we have:

-Ondrej Pavelec
-Johan Hedberg
-Peter Mannino
-Drew McIntyre
-Ed Pasquale
-chris carrozzi

And for the most part we're loaded with D depth and prospects. Bogosian, Enstrom, Kulda, Postma, Vishnevsky, Hainsey, Valabik, Oduya, etc.

I would have gone with a forward, especially if Etem, Granlund and Skinner were still available.

As a Ranger fan, if the they came away with Burmistrov and Johns, I'd be very happy...although, if the choice if Burmistrov or Johansen, I expect them to take Johansen.

We're currently in round 6, and we plan to go to 7. So, we'll post the results when we're finished. Or, if you're interested just check out the thread on the Habs board.
