First off, the HFNHL is proud to announce the following award winners from the 2010-11 season.

- Stanley Cup: DETROIT RED WINGS
- President's Trophy (points leader, regular season): ST. LOUIS BLUES (120 Points)

Now on to the voting process...

We are now taking nominations for the remaining trophies to be awarded, which are detailed below. Please take some time to review the season records and then vote for who you feel is the most deserving of the awards. The catch is that you cannot vote for someone from your own team. Winners are determined based on most votes received.

Please do a little research and submit your votes by 11:59 PM EST (GMT -5) on JUNE 20, 2011. Nominations should be submitted by e-mail to [email protected] with the heading "HFNHL Award Votes: Team Name". Results will be announced promptly after voting ends.

Those teams whose players or staff receive awards earn $250,000 for each honor received... but ONLY if that team participates in the voting process!

The awards are as follows:

- Steve Wright Memorial Trophy (top GM, named in memory of the late GM of the HFNHL Ottawa Senators)

The hurricanes would like to pimp players and management for the following awards.

- Steve Wright Memorial Trophy (top GM, named in memory of the late GM of the HFNHL Ottawa Senators)

Jon Lemoine, improved my hockey club by over 20 points from last year. Was named to the sim god all star team. Submitted lines more often than any other GM and was active as a GM and helping Matt K with various tasks throughout the year, such as fines for cheater like Matt K, TV revenue and simming.

- Jack Adams Trophy (best coach)

Joe Sacco, coached a team to a 20 point improvement. The club missed the playoffs on the last day of the regular season. Many of the HFNHL experts didn't even give us a chance.

- Lady Byng Memorial Trophy (most gentlemanly player, regular season)

Anze Kopitar only 24 pims in 83 games. Thats right he even played an extra game.

- James Norris Trophy (top defenceman, regular season)

Christian Ehrhoff, was amongst the D leaders in points 39. Averaged almost 29 minutes per game playing in all situations against the other clubs top players.

Detroit would like to pimp the following:

Jack Adams Trophy (best coach) - Guy Carbonneau
Guy coached a rag tag team through a record setting number of injuries to the play-offs.

Georges Vezina Trophy (top goalie, regular season) & Hart Memorial Trophy (MVP, regular season) & HFNHL All-Star - Henrik Lundqvist
League leader in save percentage (.934%), minutes played (4,966), and shots faced (2,668). Also had the 5th best GAA (2.14).
All achieved with what one GM called a 'no-name defense' in front of him.

Radim Vrbata for Selke Trophy. This player managed at +5 rating on a team that was a collective -22 and lost an HFNHL worst 45 games in regulation. Scored 35 goals and blocked 49 shots while playing 175 minutes on the penalty kill. +22 in hits given to taken. And yes, I do realize his chances for the Selke are slim but it's amazing how well he played this year considering his goals scored and that he was a primary penalty killer. I couldn't find too many forwards that had more blocked shots at the forward position and a positive hits ratio.

I will nominate Alexander Steen of the Kings for the Selke. He was a +21 on a team that missed the playoffs. 3rd in the league amongst forwards. Lead the team by a large margin, and that's almost three times higher +/- than any other forward on the team. Played the PK, scoring two shorthanded goals.

Well for those that have yet to submit their votes the Hawks have two nominees for the Norris trophy. Mike Green and Duncan Keith both led an improving Chicago defense that saw the team cut it's GA by 32 from the previous season. The duo were also the leading point getters for defensemen in the league with 62 and 54 points respectively.

Both players had 128 shots blocked which tied them for 12th. Green was a -3 and Keith a -11 while playing against the leagues best players.

Keith played 28 mpg and Green 25 mpg. Keith had 83 takeaways and Green had 61.

Tough decision to make between two of the leagues best defensemen.
