I also had Sanguinetti going 7th and NYI fans jumped all over me. Great job. Nice mock.
Theres no need for him really that's why. They have Grebs and Campoli to go along with Gervais.

BPA my friend.
Sanguinetti is better than Mueller? I don't know man, if I was the Isles, I would rather take Mueller if he's available (which he is in this mock) than Sanguinetti but that's just me.

Nice job on the mock!

You know last draft I was shocked when the Canucks took Bourdon, ten seconds earlier I had been so glad that Kopitar was coming to Vancouver. Bourdon was a defensemen and the canucks had Koltsov, Skinner, Mojzis, Bieksa, Edler etc... all with a legitimate shot at becoming NHL defensemen one day, the last thing the Canucks needed was a defensemen. But the Canucks still picked a defensemen, not because he was what they needed per say but because he was a very appealing and talanted player. Sanguinetti is also a very appealing defensemen, given his speed and offensive abilities combined with his sound defensive play I don't belive it is a stretch to have him going seventh overall. I could very well be wrong, infact I probabley will only get about 5-6/30 correct in my mock but I had fun doing it and maybe one of those five or six will be Sanguinetti. If this is my most controversial pick then so be it, I figured it would be having buffalo pick at 30th.

As for the Canucks pick, I think they are in a tough spot, their oppurtunities are about as surefire as job prospects for an ugly pornstar. In the end I just went with my gut. Both Forney and Stewart project into your prototypical power forward, I decided to go with the guy that had more room to fill out on his frame. They are both around 6'3 but one is like 40 pounds heavier then the other, and I wonder if Stewart is benifieting from being a man amongst mice, mind you I still belive Stewart will turn into a good NHL player.

Thats what I mean. BPA for the Isles.
He's far from the BPA for the Islanders. We need a defensive defenseman. Sanguinetti is a clone of Bruno Gervais, Denis Grebeshkov and Chris Campoli--potential to be a top 4 offensive defenseman.

The Islanders need a first line center like Mueller more than we need another player like Sanguinetti. While defense is our biggest need if we are gonna get a first round d-man we need either Johnson (and there's 0 chance of us trading up for him) or to trade down for a Wishart type.

The BPA on the Islanders list not your list. I am not saying he is but he could be.

you're ignoring the meaning of best player available. best player available disregards needs. whether Sanguinetti is the best player available is another issue.
