Wanting to get a read on the players in say the top 15. Who are they most comparable to (at least what they are projected to be) in the NHL? These are my deductions from scouting reports. Of course, the comparisons are varying degrees and probably more of the "poor man's" type.

Crosby: Sakic/Yzerman
Pouliot: I've heard Lecavalier
Jack Johnson: Chelios
Brule: Peca
Ryan: Nash
Kopitar: Vanek
Price: ??
Skille: Guerin
Staal: Brewer
Bourret: Verbeek
Parent: Warrener
Bourdon: Phaneuf
Hanzal: Handzus
Latendresse: Allison
Bergfors: Zetterberg

I would say Alex Bourret is extremely similar to a mid-90's version of Theo Fleury.

I've heard Johnson has potential of Pronger not Chelios...theres a big difference.

Having seen Johnson play a fair bit...he reminds me a fair bit of Chelios. In terms of a recent prospect...he kind of reminds me of Hamhuis. Has the same hitting ability, same offensive smarts...same well-roudned game.

Marc Staal- Wade Redden (dependable two-way guy, makes the smart plays)
Luc Bourdon- Eric Brewer (big guy skates very well laterally, pretty good on d with questionable offensive upside)
Ryan Parent- Keith Carney (strong leadership qualities, solid defensive defense man, hard to beat one-on-one)
Ryan O'Marra- Jarret Stoll (strong leadership qualities, very intelligent player, good both ways, and you just cross your fingers hoping his offensive game translates in the NHL)

Sidney Crosby- Forsberg (very strong on his skates, impeccable vision, great at maintaning offensive zone pressure. He doesn't curl with the puck as well as Forsberg but has a more dynamic shot selection and should be more goal heavy then Forsberg.
Jack Johnson- young Chelios (full package defense man with a nice helping of nastiness and grit to his game)
Jack Skille- Bill Guerin (big guy with a big shot, not afraid to get his nose a little dirty)
Carey Price- Marc Denis
