2005 Mock Draft

I just want to be sure I'm reading this right......Montreal deserves the right to move to the top of the draft order, not based on their prior years record (As is done in all the major sport leagues), but based on the fact that you are a needy fan, who feels that his world of fandom superceded that of all other hockey fans worldwide. We, the lowly peons who are fans of teams outside of Quebec, have no right to root for our team, nor deserve the honor of being graced with the presence of any player whom the Montreal fans feel should be on their roster. Basically, if you extrapolate this thought process, Montreal should fill out it's roster to their liking, then allow other teams to have the scraps of the league. Am I correct?

I say add up the points from every team over the past four years and go by those. That way we get a good idea of who really needs the 1st overall pick ect.

I will take St. Louis. When will this be held? And what type of time limit per round?

I say take the previous draft order. It is not like this will affect that draft order in 05 anyways and it keeps it simple.

Interesting on Zagrapan. I really liked what I saw at the WJC's but Where is the hype train? Aside from ISS and Mckeens, I haven't heard anything on him really.

I wouldn't take Zagrapan early in the first round, I'm getting a bit worried by his lack of involvement in the play. Never physical.. even if he does backcheck he just doesn't seem involved, and it's the case in the offensive zone too.. I don't know, he's got an awesome shot, skates well and could be great.. I like him A LOT, but at the same time I have some doubts about his style translating to the NHL.
