Anyone remember who the top 10 going into the season were for the 2005 Draft?

If I remember correctly the names I remember seeing last year were:
Crosby
.
.
Brule
.
.
.
.
Kindl was 3rd on a few lists I seen :biglaugh:
Latendresse
Aneeko

Forget the rest

What a difference a year made, Brule was far in front of the rest of the pack until xmas or so then slipped, Latendresse dropped way down,

Now i'm asking for a 2006 top 10 so we can compare next June.
2006 names i've seen (not in order)
Kessel
Frolik
Towes
josennu
maxwell
Forget the others

Latendresse entered the season after shoulder surgery, struggled at first then improved in the second half and playoffs.

But how did he plummet to 45th? Anybody?

Ya I knew he had the surgery and thats why dropped in the first half. If i'm thiknking of the right player, he also wasn't a great skater.

The biggest drops last year IMO were Heshmatpour (ND), Latendresse and Kindl.

Two Finns, Jokerit goalie Niko Hovinen and Ilves goalie Riku Helenius should be 1st rounders with Joensuu. Hovinen is compared by many to Kari Lehtonen. He is the bigger version of Lehtonen - 196cm according to www.Jokerit.com. Isn't that 6'5''?

Also, C Tommi Huhtala of Ilves should be drafted early.

Mcdonough wasnt happy with his ice time (he was a rookie and got 3rd line ice time...) and demanded a trade. He got traded to Saginaw. And, Folingo could very well blossom this year. I can see him being a middle first round pick, and will likely play on the first line with Pouliot...

joenssu this years latendresse? i think it could be a possibilty, hes already moving down on some lists. I posted before that i thought foligno would be a 1st rounder. i really like the way he plays, i think he'll have a very good year.

I´d say the exact opposite. Joensuu´s development has gone really much forward during this summer. He´s been one of the best players in his team´s preseason games. Of course it is just preseason but I have a good feeling about the kid...

Gald to hear that because last year he really did not impress me after hearing all the hype about him.

He's an intriuging prospect.. can't wait to see how he develops..

Actually, they had to ban the use of EHM by NHL scouts. Too many
of them were simply simming ahead to see how the players would
turn out.
This is why NJ always draft so well, they have really fast laptops.

Not many people know that.
