The Boston Bruins have signed goaltender Mike Brown (pictured above left) and center Nate Thompson (pictured above right) to three-year contracts, it was announced today by Bruins General Manager Mike O'Connell. In keeping with club policy, terms of the contracts were not announced.

Under terms of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, all players drafted in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft had to be signed by their clubs by a deadline of 5:00 p.m. today. The Bruins did not sign 2003 draftees defenseman Frank Rediker (fifth pick/fourth round, 118th overall), left wings Patrik Valcak (sixth pick/fourth round, 129th overall) and Masi Marjamaki (third pick/second round, 66th overall), or center Benoit Mondou (ninth pick/eighth round, 247th overall) and those players will re-enter the 2005 NHL Entry Draft to be held this Saturday, July 30, in Ottawa. Defenseman Mark Stuart (first pick, 21st overall) was not subject to this signing deadline, as he still has one year of college eligibility remaining at Colorado College.

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager and Head Coach Darryl Sutter announced today the signings of 2003 NHL Entry Draft choices Cam Cunning, Ryan Donally and Tyler Johnson. As per club policy, terms and conditions of the deal were not disclosed.

I'm surprised though that Tardiff hasn't been signed as of yet.
