Depending on where the Leafs' stand with Hyman/Andersen at the end of next year, and the potential wildcard UFA extensions for Lehtonen/Barabanov, I could see Kerfoot's $3.5M becoming expendable... unless he's the best of the bunch.

I think filling tiny holes with vets is how cups are usually won. TOR has a lot to prove I agree, but Spezza/Thornton/Simmonds/Bogosian shouldn't hurt this team.

1. I don't see him ahead of Rielly, Brodie, Muzzin or Dermott.

2. 12-16, Freddy's a workhorse, needs a lot of games.

4. Yes. Training was an issue in the play-in and he still looked alright, has been training in the city since.

5. No, I think he's good depth for the 3rd line.

6. 4th line, second PP, 11-13 minutes a game.

7. Yes, I think if he stays healthy he can be a good piece.

8. No, I think he'll step up this year.

9. 38-42.

10. He'll yet again be a respectable number one, but if he gets outdueled again in the postseason he's out.

11. In an 82 game season I take the over, in 56 I say 35-40 points.

12. We knew he'd be a slow bake and I can see the growth and see the skill, but I also think it's a little troubling that our D, and especially RD, has been weak and going into his draft+4 we're still waiting for him to lock into a spot. Show us something, I'll take the over.

13. At ES I think so, Brodie-Muzzin SH1, Rielly runs PP1.

14. Matthews but I can see Mitch having a huge year if he gets out of his own head.

15. Yes, loves being a Leaf, 5x3.75, might need to move Kerfoot, which I would do.

17. If he's deployed correctly people will love him.

18. We're gunning for 1st, realistically I don't see us worse than 3rd but sometimes strange things happen.

19. As always it depends on the match-up. It hasn't been nice bowing out in the 1st round, but then realize we were only favorites and just barely one of those times.

20. I respect that he takes risks and doesn't see himself as infallible. I think he's safe no matter what happens this year but will be on a leash next year if things go poorly.
