By the way, I don't know how you, but I would split Couts line. Their lucky from first games is away. Konecny was invisible last games.

G-Coots-TK
Oskar-Raffl-Jake
JVR-Hayes-Pitlick
who cares

I would put these lines tonight (if only we had Frost too..). We are home team, so AV can choice our matchup.

I would also break up Couts line but I thought TK was the only one hustling last night.

I’d put Couts and Voracek together. Hayes and TK. Keep G with Farabee but maybe add Lindblom.

And yet as @Appleyard sgowed the other day, Giroux's expected production this year is just as good as 2 years ago when he posted 102 points.

Just has not gotten the results.....but it's due to others more than himself.

How come that excuse doesn't work for Hayes, with a PDO of 0.925?

Expecting a loss.

7th game in 12 nights.

Isles 2nd game in 7.

Our schedule is f***ing treacherous right now.

Hope we at least see some new forward combinations that make sense. They really should call up Frost for this one.

Actually, this would be a horrible game to call up Frost.
I'd wait until a home stretch against weaker defensive teams, let him not get overwhelmed his first few games.
The day after Thanksgiving, you'll have Laughton back by then:

11/29 Detroit
11/30 @montreal
12/3 Toronto
12/5 Arizona
12/7 Ottawa
12/11 @Colorado
12/14 @Minnesota
12/15 @winnipeg

Giroux - Couts - TK
JVR - Hayes - Farabee
Lindblom - Frost - Voracek
Twarynski/Laughton - Laughton/Raffl - Raffl/Pitlick

The Isles tend to wear other teams down.
If the Flyers come ready to play and take a lead, this could be fun. But it doesn't feel like that for me right now. They have yet to convince me against a divisional rival.

Flyers are a work in progress, the arrow is pointing up, but there's a long way to go.
We should end up with 95-100 points and if Hart is on, a tough 1st round opponent.

I don't have the stats...but going from memory G has missed alot of prime chances himself this year. His shot is chaotic right now

Sanheim-Myers pairing is getting caved in at 5v5.

Rankings Among 74 Defense Pairs with at least 113 TOI at 5v5:
CF%: 45.09 (67th)
xGF%: 41.46 (72nd)
SCF%: 43.67 (67th)
HDCF%: 34.14 (74th)

Their goal-based results are fantastic though
GF%: 87.18 (2nd)
GA/60: .56 (2nd fewest)

Hopefully their shot-based results improve in the not too distant future. Because if they don’t, the goal-based results are very likely to plummet as well.

Good point.

I have to say that I'm disappointed from Sanheim performances this season. He looks slower, lazy, weak sometimes in my eyes.

Who cares

Those look good to me however I really think Jake has to be with Couts as he is the only one that can make him good. Flip Couts and Frost.

We need Laughton back in a bad way.

Giroux just can't seem to produce well from the C spot these days.

He really needs to be back at wing.

Yes it seems like every time the other time has a lot of pressure it’s with them on the ice. I think they need to work on turning over pucks. They have great ability to get it up ice if they can. Only needs to happen a handful of times to make a big difference.

Myers is very likely driving down their collective shot-based results. Sanheim has had a good season.

A few poor games (out of 19) ≠ having a bad season

This feels in line with what i've been seeing. Oddly enough I feel like Sanheim is struggling a lot more than Myers. Hes been my biggest dissapointment on D so far this season.

Point out that the Islanders only have a 4 point lead on the Flyers (though 2 less games), despite great goaltending (Griess .942, Varlamov .917).
I don't think Griesse's hot start is sustainable.
And 12 home games and 5 away games to start the season is a nice gift.
While they're 4-1 on the road, that's against Carolina, Winnipeg, CBJ, Ottawa and Buffalo.

30th in CF%, 24th in xGF%, 2nd in PDO [Flyers are 24th]

This is a winnable game for the Flyers, not easy, but doable.

I dont see what youre seeing. Pacing for 20ish points and seems to be chasing the play a lot in the dzone.

Hmm, I think that Sanheim was worse than Myers in last games. But who know. It's just my opinion. I just expected more from Sanheim. Myers is fine in my eyes still despite last two games where was Myers not good.
