Pretty hard conversation to have without knowing who the GM will be. Nill could return, and I have no idea how to even quantify the odds of that. Things were definitely trending towards him losing his job though.
Nill's 5 year extension runs through 2022-23. I don't think the money was reported, but with the news today that Kamloops fired everyone who wasn't in hockey ops, and everyone in hockey ops took a pay cut ... it does become a real question with Gaglardi bleeding money if he'll be keen on paying 2 general managers for 3 more years.
