They flyers just didn’t look confused compared to last year. They look prepared to play a divisional opponent

When they went up 3-0 early in 3rd that changes deployment rest of the way.

This didn't just suddenly happen in the 3rd. And notice how none of the other top players have the same low totals.

Myers not being on the team right...i kinda get it with the 7 we already have (even though he should be on it now), it could be good for him to get some confidence playing 22+ min a game and then coming to the flyers BUT farabee should be on the 3rd line right now. Twarynski

also, Giroux/voracek are seeing a lot less ice time so far. I know its two games and they pretty didn't need to play toward the end but it'll be interesting to see how that shapes up later on and if it helps them late in the season (if it continues)

Score effects have a huge impact in hockey. Carolina, Tuesday night, Aho and Teravainen each played less than 15 minutes.

You are being completely ridiculous. If Giroux and Ghost get under 18 minutes in a 4-3 loss we can talk about this.

Sanheim - Niskanen look very reliable right now too

That's a great word. Niskanen, Hayes, and to a lesser degree Braun have brought some reliability and stability to a young team which makes a big difference. Hayes, yeah he's still overpaid, but he is a really good hockey player. Having his two-way ability and size down the middle is and will be huge for this team. Add in having a legit NHL coach and the results over the last two games speak for themselves. First time in 8 years the team has started 2-0.
