IMO there are only 2 factors that can stop this team from making the playoffs: The most important factor is the health of Carey Price and the 2nd factor is the health of Andrei Markov.
Just watched an AC segment on the points needed to make the playoffs, looking at the standings etc...
They all agreed Philly and Caps should be playoff teams. Really? Hockey is not a complicated sport. If your goaltending is suspect and your defence core is mediocre your chances of success are slim. That being the case how could any "expert" expect great things from either of those teams?
Because the Caps have Ovie and the Flyers have Giroux, Briere, etc...?
Face it, the average person (including experts) thinks if you have a big point getter/flashy player success is virtually guaranteed... So bizarre...
