Too many passengers right now. Miller and Killorn for starters and Kuch and Hedman have been train wrecks. When Kuch gets in that overly creative mode he’s a liability.

Awful effort. A point salvaged by Vazy...again. Completely outclassed tonight.

Said many times by now that I don't give any weight to wins or losses beyond 60 minutes, so tonight was, AFAIC, our third tie in the last five games. If there's a real issue, it's that our offense is out-of-sync. Seven goals in five games out of the break, shutout twice. Not a big deal right now as far as our long-term goals (no pun intended) are concerned, but something that hasn't been fun to watch in the last week, to be sure.

Yeah, before we panic, it's good to remember that we still have the top offense and a top-five defense in the League with a goalie that can kick butt. The PK was outstanding. And, even though the Coburn/Sergachev pairing was fetid bilge water, Hedman/Girardi were solid and McDonagh/Strålman were excellent. And Stamkos was fricking awesome!

Vasy is going to be pissed so Saturday's game should be a fun one. Can't wait to see it. :DD

Not buying the damn new third jersey though.

I don't know why so many people are giving Palat a pass right now. He's one of the worst players on the ice right now. He's absolutely awful.

Better to be on the uptick in the second half. O'Reilly is a beast. Whole team is big and physical. Not slow either. Forecheck like fiends. Be tough in the playoffs.

I don't see anyone giving him a pass, he's being ripped on a lot in here. Most people wanted him gone off of the first PP and he was replaced with Miller, so that's good.

Vasy is going to be pissed. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go end to end and take care of the whole thing himself next game.

No one cares how you played in nov dec jan. ...the team did this last year and frankly...I'm not very optimistic about our style of play translating to the playoffs.

You see any realistic moves to be made or do we play out this hand?

When games start to have the feel like they did tonight, Cooper has to do a better job of forcing the team to play a north and south game. Chip pucks deeps, recover, put pucks on net and get rebounds. It frustrates me when games clearly are tough sledding, like a playoff game, and you don’t see any specific focus just to put pucks on net when things aren’t going your way. That falls on Cooper.

Now, it is February. So I don’t care at all. But I have made the same comments in the playoffs. It therefore isn’t unreasonable under the circumstances. Cooper has to do a better job in game to make adjustments like this.

We'll play out our hand and you'll see coopers swan song. Q will be coach next season unless coop can unlock playoff magic. No more excuses.

You said it...like a playoff game. We're not ready...yet. time to retool but not looking good. Teams have clamped down and we have not responded.

I don't think your wrong, but when Kuch gets in these funks where he pretty much refuses to shoot and tries to make plays that he even he can't make, I wonder if any kind of coaching would influence him to keep it simple. He's the straw that stirs the drink.

Longtime lurker, big time fan’s observations...
    1. Get used to the fact that every team gets up for games against us. We’re the barometer of success, whether we deserve to be or not.
    2. Point and Kuch curl-ups when backing the opposing DF in and initially scaring the hell out of them must stop. You can see the opposing D panicking, racing back and then... the curl-up. The D breathes easily as everyone can now comfortably shift into position. That or TJ shoots over the net.
    3. Trust is a bit low. Sergachev and Coburn don’t trust each other. Each forward line has a player out of synch, causing the others to alter their usual games. This leads to second guessing and hesitation.

I'd like to see the line blender for pretty much all 4 lines. Now's the time to experiment and try and find some chemistry.

I'm not going to complain. These are the kind of games we'll see a lot until the playoffs start. We already have the Conference in the bag so that's home ice advantage till the finals. We'll most likely win the Presidents Trophy as well by coasting into the playoffs. There will be bunch of overreacting but maybe just look back at last season, we stopped giving 100% a long time before the playoffs and that didn't matter one bit. Even though people said how we'd get swept in the first round.

In short: calm the **** down because the following 28 games are meaningless.

Can't expect the team to winstreak through the rest of the season and by a 5 goal margin each game. Defense and goaltending is still rock solid, we've allowed 5 GA in the past 4 games. In that stretch we've gotten 6 points out of possible 8. Offense has to be better (5 GF in 4 GP), and I'm sure they'll be working on that, but the sky is not falling.

Defence and vasy was brilliant tonight, seems to be the forwards which has dried up abit. Would rather that dried up now instead of the plays offs.

Breakdown of Lightning forward goal scoring:

    86: 0 goals in last 9 games
    21: 2 G in last 8
    91: 5 G in last 11
    9: 0 G in last 14
    37: 2 G in last 6
    10: 3 G in last 20
    17: 1 G in last 16
    18: 0 G in last 7
    7: 4 G in last 12
    71: 0 G in last 21
    73: 0 G in last 14
    13: 0 G in last 19
