I completely forgot I was supposed to be doing this GDT, so I'll throw something boring and bland up before I go to bed. I might modify it later. The key word of the previous sentence is might.

Isles lines (as per their GDT):

Moulson-Tavares-Boyes
Grabner-Reasoner-Okposo
Bailey-Nielsen-Aucoin
McDonald-Cizikas-Martin

Visnovsky-Hickey
Streit-Hamonic
McDonald-Finley

Poulin
Nabokov

Our lines:

Tlusty-Staal-Semin
Jokinen-Staal-Dwyer
Bowman-Nash-Wallace
Westgarth-Welsh-LaRose

Something involving Faulk, Harrison, and Corvo

They both suck

The good news about this game: I have Tavares, Moulson, and Streit on my fantasy hockey team.
The bad news about this game: I have Ward on my fantasy team.
The other good news about this game: The last time I made the above comments, we managed to squeak out a win against the Islanders
The other bad news about this game: It's a game we need to win. Therefore we will lose.

Key questions to ask yourself while preparing for this game:

A) Which will happen first - Eric Staal breaks out of his slump, or DiPietro breaks another bone?
B) Is there a cooler name, Clutterbuck aside, than Casey Cizikas?
C) How many points will Tavares score? I'll set the over/under at 5.
D) Will Ward or Ellis start? Oh, **** it. We're playing the New York Tavares. We'll lose anyways.
E) Will we be able to dress an ECHL-quality defense tonight?

Prediction: 4-3 loss. Semin, Dwyer, and Harrison score for Canes. Tavares, Tavares, Grabner, and Nielsen score for Islanders

Oh, and because videos make everything more fun:

Picture the above being Tavares, and us being the doomed ones.

Okay, I have one-upped the Isles GDT. Instead of half-assed-ness, I have put forth quarter-assed-ness.

PS: Yeah, the video won't embed. Oh well, I'm too tired to care.

4-2 victory. Goals for Tlusty, E. Staal, Dwyer and J. Staal. Tavares scores two for the Islanders.

I can't remember where I saw this and I apologize if it was on here already....

This was part of Garrioch's rumor roundup that he did yesterday: The Avalanche could be moving Ryan O’Reilly soon. The Rangers, Flyers, Maple Leafs and Hurricanes have been involved in talks. Garrioch wouldn’t be surprised if O’Reilly ended up in Carolina.

So, who would we be trading?

Probably too much given the fact that we are talking about JR. Might explain, however, why he's just sat on his ass while half the team goes down.

Sitting through last night's game in person was a loathsome experience. I'm frankly glad they're on the road for this one.

5-1 loss, with Tavares exhausting himself.

Was speculating before this season that if we trade anyone for O'Reilly it was going to be Joni. Could still be the case but I REALLLLLLLLY hope not with how Joni's played when healthy. With O'Reilly holding out I don't think he'll cost quite that much, could see something built around Rask.

Tavares with the hatty. He's gonna light us up like usual. Probably gets it going with a weak goal after we carry the play for the first few minutes.

Don't laugh yet! Apparently the Islanders are wearing their black death jerseys tonight. I believe they have not won with them yet this season.

The Islanders are wearing their black jerseys and have not yet won wearing them this season you say?

Well then, 5-1 win.

For the Islanders

3 weak goals against, regardless of the goalie.

3 strong goals by Tavares.

6-2 loss. LaRose with weak, secondary assists on both meaningless goals. 3rd star of the game.
