This has happened a few times this year with NBCSN wanting an early game - obviously less of an issue than normal with no fans in attendance to worry about - but neither this game nor the Dallas/Florida game are listed as NBCSN games, so having 5pm ET games this particular Wednesday is just weird.

This is the Canes 2nd Wednesday 5pm game. Was told last week its because this match up is better than the Wed night hockey match up and NBC Sports didn't want their game over shadowed so they move it earlier so the prime time game is on by itself

Who is Ross Colton lol

2016 4th round pick. Played college hockey at Vermont for 2 seasons before joining the Crunch.

Not as skilled as Katchouk or Raddysh, or have as high of ceiling, but more well rounded. Earned an alternate captains A in his 2nd season with the Crunch last year and finished 2nd in points, and 1st in assists on the team

There is a need for a 4th line center. It was Stephens, and then Stephens got hurt, we tried Joseph at center, and then Smith got a few games. Big opportunity for Colton if he can insert himself into that discussion and not just get a look today.
