Yep. Boqvist is easily one of the six best defensemen this franchise has. It’s another must win game, Boqvist should only be scratched because there simply wasn’t any other choice

If it’s a muscle thing it could very easily be tight today after taking contact last night and it’s a precaution thing.

For those who have questioned the decision to pull Dach away from Saad and Kane, this is one of the rare times I’ll defend Colliton because the numbers show its the right choice.

Saad and Kane w/ Dach (53:07 toi): 40.37 Corsi, 34.43 xGF%, 20 HDCF% (yikes!)

Saad and Kane w/o Dach (91:22 toi): 50.58 Corsi, 46.03 xGF%, 46.15 HDCF%

Saad and Kane w/ Carpenter (54:93) 47.96 Corsi, 56.23 xGF%, 47.62 HDCF%

Also, DeBrincat and Strome’s underlying numbers are better with Dach than without

Last note, Kubalik and Toews’ numbers are pretty consistent no matter who is playing the other wing. There is no advanced stat jump in effectiveness when Kane is on that line vs. when Caggiula/Quenneville/Saad is there (that surprises me quite a bit). That said, the actual goals scored rate is much higher when Kane is with them.
