1969 Montreal Junior Canadiens Memorial Cup Champs

From the regulars only three did not have any NHL or WHA time - Claude Moreau, Art Quoquochi and Ted Tucker. Roster included Gilbert Perreault, Marc Tardiff, Rejean Houle, Richard Martin, Andre Dupont, amongst others. Re-united in December of 1969 they beat the touring Soviet National team 9-3.

Didn't they pick up John Garrett from Peterborough to reinforce their goaltending? I beleive teams could do that back then.

Didn't they pick up John Garrett from Peterborough to reinforce their goaltending? I beleive teams could do that back then.

Teams were allowed to pick-up goalies once they won their league.
In 1969 they had Jim Rutherford for the Memorial Cup run and in 1970 it was John Garrett

That year their was no Memorial Cup that year

The West split from the CHA, they would have played the Flin Flon Bombers led by Bobby Clarke and Reggie Leach and a Goaltender that the Canadiens had drafted in the 1st rd by the name of Martyniuk, I believe that is the spelling.
