The game-winning goal is the goal which puts a team at a higher score than the opposition. In your example the third Avalanche goal is the GWG.

For instance, Brendan Leipsic scored the game-winning goal for Vancouver last night: Calgary Flames - Vancouver Canucks - October 3rd, 2018
