I'd give him one of the western games probably Calgary.

Laval's off December 20th to 27th anyway, so might as well keep him up and let him practice with NHL players.

I think Habs can easily give him one game a week until the break.

Calgary, Florida, Detroit, Ottawa, and Chicago. Send him to Laval for the break.

I will guess he gets one start out West and is sent down after that. Kincaid will start Dec 29th.

Good point about Laval.

Price is the type that likes to stay sharp.

If not I'd give Primeau the Detroit and Calgary game if he does well in Detroit.

Calgary and florida. He needs to pmays and in the same time it will bring a break to price. In new york islander they are doing it with greiss and varlamov. Why not here

Lots of traveling and tough games. Primeau could play a game or two in that series.

To be honest id give Primeau the start against Detroit , they are so f***ing bad.

Price should be playing all those games after Detroit , Losing to Tampa and Florida could be huge losts.

Even if its a back to back in Florida , Price will be rested for 5 days. He should be good enough to play them both.

I expect him to be with the team on the road trip out west. He may get 1 game (flames ) but Price probably starts all 4. He probably goes on the 2nd half of the trip after X-mas and plays the Panther game. In January the team is mostly at home 8 home games and 4 road games (det/Ott/Phi/Buffalo). If he continues to play well he probably gets the 2 B2bs in January but I expect him to be sent to laval for parts of January to get some playing time with Lindgren or Kinkaid backing up Price but not getting any starts.

You want him with you on long road trips especially out west but after this big trip minimal travel in east only in January and Feb. You can give him spot starts in mtl and send him down to get more playing time periodically. Only big trip left after this one is the march california plus colorado trip.

calgary and florida for me if price is at 100%.

So you're comfortable with Primeau playing roughly once every 8 days (the 11th, the 19th, and the 29th)?

You think that's enough for a young goaltender?

Last time we made the playoffs with Price playing less then 60 games(not including the Olympics) we made the ECF. If Primeau can give us some quality starts, keep him here and play him a bit until/unless he starts struggling. We need to get with the times. Most of these goalies winning cups aren’t relying solely on their goaltender, regardless of the paycheque Bergevin cut him.

I understand playing him again at worst teams but he played again at the avalanche and did awesome and did well against a hot Ottawa team. Give him at least a 1 quality team if he's only going to play twice.

I don't think we should look that far.
Games and Standings will determine how many games he will play.

He could be in net just because Price catch a little cold.

I’d like to see them go in a 2 games (Price) 1 game (Primeau) pattern.

That makes sense.

But the question remains, as far as Primeau's development is concerned, is it better for him to play 1 in every 3 games in Montreal or 2 in every 3 games in Laval - or at least every other game in Laval?
