Who is your choice to win the Calder trophy next year. It's fun to ask when the season starts but It'd be cool to see what people think before the rookies ever step foot on NHL ice. Here are the choices:

Nolan Patrick or Nico Hischier
Former CHL Prospect (Strome, Barzal, Chabot, etc.)
Former NCAA Prospect (Boeser, Keller, McAvoy, etc.)
Other (Former Jr. A or European Prospects)

My moneys on the former NCAA prospects. Keller and McAvoy look like they'll be great next year.

**I wanted to make a poll but couldn't so I guess you can choose whoever you want lol

Brock Boeser for me, but I'd like for the season to start to get a good idea who's even making the team out of camp. But right now I think Brock will get ample time and opportunity on the Canucks team, that and he's a good player in his own right should garner him some success.

connor figured it out down on the farm. will be in the race no doubt about it.

He finished the year with 18 goals in his last 21 games.
(17 in 20 AHL games and 1 in 1 NHL game)

If he gets a spot in the Jets top 6 and some PP time he could be in the mix. I would be shocked if the Calder race is as entertaining as last year. A handful of last years players who got next to no attention would have won in many other years.

The Jets shifting to a 3rd scoring line anchored by Perrault is likely the key to Connor getting enough opportunity.

No particular order, but here are the 5 who I think have the best shot:

Joel Eriksson-Ek
Evgeny Svechnikov
Colin White
Brock Boeser
Clayton Keller

My dark horse pick would be Thomas Chabot if he can make the Sens roster.
