This guy would be good coach. :)

I'm quite sure his lockerroom nickname will be "coach".

Maybe he should just use his real first name John...

So much for joking, Tyler Wright compared him to Mark Stone. Strong and hard-working winger, who does small things always right. Good net-front player.

I watched a couple of his USHL games from this year over the last couple of days and kind of like this pick. Skating clearly needs improvement but was not nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be (both technically and in terms of agility). He is super long physically and has a massive, massive reach. I thought he consistently made good, heads-up decisions with the puck and had a pretty good understanding of how plays were unfolding. He seems to have pretty good hands even though you won't find him holding onto the puck for super long stretches. There is no question that he will make a living (if at all) from the hash marks down.

Interesting kid with a lot of room for physical development, even at age 20.

AHL player next year maybe? He's a pretty big guy, had some goal scoring prowess early on but injuries have hindered his developpement. DET has his rights until next year.
