As noted by Nothing Is New, he is probably the steal of the draft. Rated #40 overall by Red Line, his style is compared to Josi. It notes that he is excellent in both ends. Great skater and really good with the puck on his stick. His only knock was that, while his play really came on as of late, his offense dropped off the last couple months of the season.

I have no problem taking a big defenseman that was ranked as a 2nd rounder by most scouting agencies in the 6th round even if all his "highlights" are fights. Not like there are big highlight reels for defensive defenseman to begin with. If Weber didn't have his slapper people probably wouldn't make highlight reels of him too often.
