Ok Ok, let's get away from this, kinda went off the rails.

Will our D survive Tampa, is better discussion topic.
I think so, honestly, I think they're due a bounce back after a tough night. That group has been largely good this season, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

I like the Marody kid. Why are we rewarding Strome with playing time? That would be a good banging line. Khaira needs to bring more as well
So with Strome, I don't think he's been terrible (except offensively), but just give him a night off. Khaira does, but has been better in the last couple (minus last night)

Feeding Lucic and Strome to the gators.
Also, Oilers should win this game. I bet against them and I always lose my bets!

Just in -

Unconfirmed reports from hotel in TB, mandate from Oiler mgmt stating that all non team sanctioned local travel is limited to public transit until further notice.
Absolutely no Uber usage permitted.

And then a video comes out showing JP eating pizza and speaking gibberish in an Uber...cuz he couldn't understand instructions :sarcasm:

Interesting to see Yamo get back in. I'd imagine JP and Khaira sitting

Happy to see Gravel in, although I thought Garrison has played better lately.

Maybe they will go with Yama - Strome - Rattie on the third line or Cagguila - Strome - Yama with Rattie on the first. As poster above said, it will probably be Khaira and JP sitting.

Too bad they don't have the balls to sit Lucic.

Would like to see if Strome could get going with two of yam/JP/rattie. Don't really wanna mess with the top 2 lined though.

Rnh McDavid cagguila
Chiasson drai Reider
Rattie Strome yam/JP
Kassian Brodziak yam/jp

Sit Lucic and run Cagguila-Strome-Pulju I bet that line starts popping off.

Honestly it would be such an improvement right now.

At what point do we see the Oilers scratch Lucic? If we're sitting at game 40 and he has two goals, are they really going to play him every game during a playoff drive?

Yea or maybe even try Lucic - Brodz/Khaira - Kassian on the fourth line.

Scratch or bury him on the fourth line. Probably never happen though.

I'm surprised but not disappointed with 2 forward changes.

I'm not sure why Gravel draws in though. The bottom pairing has honestly been fine lately.

I'm not a fan of Garrison. But I think the rationale here is that the Oilers got skated pretty hard last night and now they're going up against another very fast team. Have to get the fresh legs in there if you can, especially for an older guy like Garrison.

Hoping for

RNH - McDavid - Rattie
Rieder - Draisaitl - Chiasson
Lucic - Strome - Caggiula
Khaira - Brodziak - Kassian

Pulju and Yama to the AHL.

I know this would never happen but would love to see Lucic take a breather in the PB for a game or two and roll with a 3rd line of Pulju - Strome - Rattie..........this may be a crazy thought but I get the feeling that Lucic stifles the offence on any line he plays on.....maybe its the 2 goals in 60+ games.....

Here's what I'm thinking now that this has been announced.

Nuge - McDavid - Rattie
2nd Line stays the same
Caggiula - Strome - Yamamoto or Lucic - Caggiula - Yamamoto
4th line stays the same

Gravel in for Benning.

I'd say Caggs on the 1st, Rattie on 2nd, Yama on 3rd and Chiasson on 4th to replace Khaira...

IMO Looch should be on the 4th line right now, not a HS. He's working hard out there just not getting anything to show for it.
