Of course Hall is the clear MVP of the team but if we don't win the lottery and draft Nico I highly doubt we're in a position to make the playoffs this year. The guy has came in and changed the dynamic of the team in an instant. At the age of 18/19 too. Remarkable.

The kid has skills, we can all see that but what amazes me is the fact that he's so good in tight spaces despite the fact that he's about 180 pounds soaking wet and he's "outmuscling" men for loose pucks.

His hockey IQ is just off the charts and the more I see him play, the more he reminds me of Pavel Datsyuk. I can only imagine what he'll be like when he adds maybe 20 pounds of muscle and will be more comfortable playing in the league.

We have a bonafide superstar in the making on our hands.

Wish Nico would be able to get in on the 1st PP unit, feel it is wasting good talent bench with him waiting for 2nd unit. When he comes on with 36 seconds left in the penalty, seems less than optimal.

really not sure why they would split up hall and nico on the PP, they obviously have some good chemistry

I think it's a minutes thing. Playing on the pk, pp,p, and 1st line center is a lot for an 18 year old.

I guess that is the only good reason. Because otherwise it doesn't make a lot of sense. I mean, its hard to make a huge deal right now because PP is producing as of late..... but I often think we don't have the best PP lineup out there.

I'm fine with him getting limited power play usage this season. I'm positive he would be able to handle it, like he's handled pretty much everything else that's been thrown at him this year, but it's not a bad idea to limit him in some areas so he can keep playing so well everywhere else.

Next year I expect him to be on the top unit. Though if the same staff is back I also expect him to compete with Zajac and Boyle for those spots and who knows how he'll fare lol

Well.................I'd say they still did show him out of breath a lot last game. That and he had his head down for some time after he missed that 2nd breakway opportunity. (Hischier wheezing face)
