I can't remember if there was a lot of courtship re: him. He's from Edmonton so it very well could have been similar to the Clarkson situation (hometown boy wanted to go home), but from the moment I realised that he was a UFA, I wanted him signed up and so many people were like oh no he's too slow. (which I personally feel shouldn't be a negative slag anymore because we've got Barb Underhill to help with the skating aspects now).

But he was a big piece of the Bruins PK and to bring him to Toronto (for the same role + Cup Ring/Finals experience would have been awesome).
