Something like "if Dubnyk played in Toronto there'd be no Carey Price". Not sure what he was going for there, maybe talking about hype.

He did say "in terms of the media" after a short pause... implying the hype train would all be about Dubs, not Price.

not sure how to feel after that 3rd period. played great upto staals goal then other than dubnyk's monster save with a minute left i really thought toronto outplayed us. shots on goal 37 - 20; shot attempts 87? to 41. BB said it was the end of a long road trip. well i guess i'll take the 2 points & move on.

Pretty telling that he comments on Gabriel. He's not great, but he doesn't look bad out there, either. Would like a more offensive option on the fourth line, but not sure who that would be.

I think the Wild were just tired of being on the road, and wanted to go home after the second period. Lucky we got this win.

Happy to see Zucker playing so well. His speed allows him to get in on the forecheck really fast, and he is looking dangerous out there. It's huge to have him play like a second liner, rather than a fourth liner.

Looks like they ran out of gas and lost their legs. Passes weren't on as a result, couldn't leg any of the stretch passes out after about halfway through the game. The 3rd felt it was the 2nd game of a back-to-back.

4th line needed the game they had. Was a hometown game for all three of them. Gabriel doesn't look lost out there and will play the body (hope Stewie remembers that's what he was brought in to do).

The top-4 as a whole wasn't good. They were all making bad plays that rarely happen for some of them. Suter getting turned around, Brodin and not being able to clear the zone, Spurgeon looked wrong, Dumba doing Dumba things. Scandella/Prosser were solid at least (sounds odd saying that).

Dub stole the 3rd period.

The Koivu line was the best line tonight. Haula line wasn't good or bad really, just had got beat by Matthews line most of the night. Really needed more from the Staal line possession wise, their passes and puck-handling weren't good for many shifts.

Without fail, if the Wild win the other fans complain about how boring we are and trap and blah blah blah. Do these people really think a lock-down trap team would allow 37 shots on goal?

Don't think they lost their legs, I think BB told them to lock it down and changed their forecheck. After Staal goal, they were trapping up a storm, and only sending in one forechecker. With Toronto's speed and high end skill, that's the wrong move. Toronto's flaw is their in experience, so you've got to keep pressing them into mistakes.

By trying to defend, and letting them come to you the leafs were able to skate all over the Wild. Let's hope BB doesn't try that again.

Wild were absolutely playing a trap in the third period. Just not very succesfully.
