With all the talent on the first unit you’d think this PP should be stop the league- even without Kuch.

It's run extremely poorly, whoever runs it should be fired. They said they did massive PP work when they went 0-5 last week and come out even worse, the top unit did not register a single shot on net in 4 PP's.

Yeah - I obviously expect a dip when a guy like Kucherov is out of the line up, but this is absurd. Not saying we should be running at 25%, but damn straight we should be at 20.

Last night looked like we were giving ABB any many chances as possible to succeed. I point to that as much of a reason for our special teams failures as anything we saw last night. Given that we led or were tied, I think the coaching staff felt like it was worth taking a look to see what he could do. I'm actually okay with what happened last night if that was their thought process. But sadly he wrecked our PP faster than my cats wreck a bowl of food.

At the end of the game we later adjusted by putting Point on the right half wall by the end of the game and put Cirelli in ABB's place and it looked a lot better. It tells me at least that the coaches saw ABB's struggles as we did


But the experiment needs to end now. I know Carolina has a great PK but this guy is supposed to be an NHL-level PP specialist at worst and he's not doing well at it at all.

Yeah Hedman just doesn't look right. Don't know if he's injured or what but he made several more mistakes this game that he usually wouldn't and got beat easily at the end there and then out of position screened Vasy some on that shot

Doesnt help he played 30 mins of ice time yesterday so probably was exhausted from 3rd and OT

Yeah, and it's likely to not get much better in that regard with Cernak now out at least a month probably.

We're at 3 of our last 29 now, which is like 10%, so quite a ways to go...

If you watched PP of Carolina, it was quick passing and guys moving to get open. Our guys take the puck and skate around and let the opponent get right on top of them before they try to make a pass. Same crap every game and looking for the perfect shot instead of putting the puck on net and getting dirty down in front for rebounds. Hedman is lucky if he puts the puck on net from the point 10% of the time . Always getting blocked or missing the net completely. Biggest problem is we can't even get into the opponents freaking end and keep doing the same crap over and over again and failing! If coaches can't see this, then we are in big trouble!

Im not super concerned about the pp when kucherov gets back but we still have a while till he gets back. What we have now isnt going to work.
