It would really make me upset if B.B. didn’t win scoring lead because of the first couple games he was a healthy scratch.

I'm not even sure Jake know's what type of player he is anymore.
We just cannot make the right decisions with him. He looked like he was finally figuring out what he needs to do and instead of sending him down to Utica so he can really get his offensive game back on track playing more minutes and given freer rein we staple him to the 4th line/bench and give him nothing to work with. Drives me absolutely f***ing insane.

Happy that Boeser kept his point streak alive, Horvat hit the score sheet, and Daniel got two points closer to 1,000.

Seems like a player always gets injured when we play in New Jersey. Today it's Sutter.

Onto the next one.

Not a great effort. Would have been a blowout after 40 minutes without several great saves from Markstrom.

- Sedins were the only players really going tonight and were very good even despite a poor effort from Virtanen, who needs to play with a lot more intensity than he did tonight.

- Horvat line had a few moments but had one of their least effective games this month. Baertschi in particular was weak.

- Sutter and Gaunce were solid defensively. Hopefully Sutter not hurt for any length of time. Gagner just ... bleh. What does he do, exactly?

- Granlund-Vanek-Eriksson line was mainly invisible. Vanek had one of his weakest games and Granlund was a ghost again.

- Edler-Pouliot were not good. Why is Edler still getting #1 unit PP minutes. Was awful with the puck on his stick tonight. Struggling since his return from injury. Pouliot was little better, weak along the boards with several turnovers.

- Hutton has been our best defender pretty much every game since Tanev was hurt, but he and Tanev both looked off when back together tonight. Hutton needs to stop puck-watching on the rush.

- Del Zotto has fallen off after his quick start but was ok enough tonight. Stecher mostly stayed out of trouble on his return but didn't contribute much.

- Markstrom was outstanding and the only reason we had a chance to salvage a result at the end.

Most bile-inducing moment of the night was Ian MacIntyre shilling for his buddy Jimbo's new contract based on our 'unprecedented' prospect group. Gross.

Missed the game thanks for the write up MS.

How were Horvat and Boeser tonight?

Pretty even game. Canucks made a good push to tie it and had some good late chances. Some sloppy play around the net and Markstrom with some handling errors. Sometimes gets to aggressive when he playing the puck. Might have won with Nilsson in the net.

Good

Sedins - had a lot of jump and had periods of excellent puck possession and movement. Too bad they don't have better shots.

Horvat - very good late when he sort of took over

Hutton - thought he was the steadiest of the defensemen.

Not Good

Gagner - not doing anything. Made some lousy passes including whistling one pass Vanek's head.

Virtanen - too many brain cramps and poor reads of the situation. Only thing he really did was move puck back to the point. Starting to wide circle too much after he makes a play or gets in transition. Disappointing.

Others

Both Stecher (who seemed to run out of gas) and Tanev showed some rust.

Edler had some good moments (especially in the first) but play fell off (especially in the second) as game went on.

Gaunce really offensively challenged. Times when he looked clumsy. However, showing much better Hockey IQ than someone like Virtanen. Gaunce has quite a bit of company on the team in forwards who look like they will never score.
