I thought Vassy played fine. Just couldn't get the puck in the back of the net until it was too late.

Looking at video, it looks like Verhaeghe was on the bench during Stammer's goal so he wasn't injured. Not sure what the team wants to do with him, but there's plenty of other options up in Syracuse they should start to consider.

the second goal is the only one I could see being his fault. Other than that he made a lot of great saves while our defense was nowhere to be found. Save percentage is a pretty irrelevant stat all things considered.

We seem to be giving a lot of credit to the other team or their players this year. Last year, we were getting the credit.

Vasi has been bad this year in general. At his price next year anything less than Vezina caliber goaltending year in and out is bad value.

He was asked about it after the game. He said something like “I thought it was 100% not a goal. I guess you need to be 110%”

Asked if he agreed with the league rule that a lost challenge merited a penalty, he and Hedman were pretty much it is what it is, while Stammer was not a fan at all
