Positive takeaways in a sea of negatives.

Skaters actually looked competent tonight. Goaltending, again, caved.

Perlini’s best game as a Wing in limited showings.

I'm going to level with you guys, I don't watch many games more than a few minutes in the background. Actually sat down for this one. But I see I'm not missing much here, eh?

Meh, these loses aren't as bad. They tried and actually looked competent for stretches. So much better than watching players that don't give a shit.

I was watching out for Bowey because I thought he'd be the perfect pick-up for the Jets, but Bowey was probably the best player that game. He played the most minutes and wasn't even a minus all game long, stepping in for Mike Green and all. He's improving and earning those minutes.

It's like watching a dog chase a ball only to run into a wall. Several times in a row. The first time, eh, kinda funny, stupid dog. Ha. The thirteenth time and you realize it's brain damaged and really kinda sad.

Then it hits the wall for the fourteenth time.

Sweet jesus, someone give this person the reins to the Jets and offer them Bowey immediately.

At this point it's borderline hilarious how bad we've become. Can't lose 3-4 or 2-3, gotta get blown out by 3 to 4 goals literally every night

This team struggles to score two a night most often, can't say I agree with pulling Howie with 5-6 minutes left.

The only team in my lifetime that I have seen worse than this is the 92-93 Ottawa Senators.

16-17 Avs were dogshit too and funny enough i bet on the Rangers tonight because of a game that was so similar in that year for Avs. Basically Detroit is having similar metrics to that team rn.

Pretty much makes them the worst team in the league.

Good news is Colorado made the playoffs the year after when MacKinnon and Rantanen said enough of this shit and broke out.

Detroit should just stink as much as humanly possible so it lights a fire under the key guys to maximize their potential and force Yzerman to improve the team in the off-season.

Anyone think we break the record for ga this year?

You made me look up the record. It was set in 1975 by the Washington Capitals. 446 GA in 80 games. Who is #2? Why our very own 1986 Red Wings with 415 GA.

So right now the Wings have 68 GA in 17 games. That's 4 goals a game. At that pace, they'll hit 328 GA. Which, while nowhere near our friends the '86 Wings, would still be 27 goals more than the worst GA last season.

I wonder how much closer it’d be adjusted to the overall goals per game of the season. ‘86? Maybe history repeats itself?
