Vasili Podkolzin Scouting Report: 2019 NHL Draft #3 -
Again, shocked, but I oddly like this pick a lot.
good pick. i like this choice
Pettersson and pod could be deadly
So happy holy shit
Great pick guys. Glad he went west so we can see him play.
f*** yeah! Huge fan of this pick and this kid. This is such a huge swing for the fences pick. I am happy.
Lets take a minute and acknowledge the pronunciation by Stan Smyl
Thought we were going caufield but im not mad. Podz dropped from the top 5 not even 2 or 3 months ago if im correct.
Big motherf***ing swing for the fences
2 years. I can't wait!
hopefully helps get Tryamkin over and dude should be a beast on Horvats wing and helping Petey get knocked around less. Was really disgusting watching him get run over and injured last year with almost no response
Tbh anythings beats trading the pick for Barrie
Hmm not mad either. Interesting.
If he was from NA I'm sure people would have debated him at first OA.
I like the pick, no complaints from me, I would have picked Boldy but Podkolzin is an excellent player
You know what? I f*** with this pick.
This is ballsy. And they made a good point that whoever they get at 10 will take at least 2 years to make the team anyways. Zegras was likely their guy but he was gone.
It’s also a move to bring Tryamkin over. Now he sees we’re investing in Russian players more.
Not to mention, the dude should have been a top 5 pick. He’s insanely talented.
I’m good with this. Our scouting has been good last couple years so I’m liking this.
Him and Pettersson are going to kill it !!!
Don't hate it
I only like this if Goldy and Trammer come back with this kid! Russian invasion I’m down for if the guy we have follow!
I honestly had no reaction to this because I thought there was no way in a million years we would choose him.
I would have preferred Boldy or Newhook. But it could have been worse.
I like taking a big swing like this over going safe. And Canucks can't touch him for 2 years which is probably for the best.
No interview for Podkolzin... guessing he cant speak English?
