Some youngins here probably never seen the Leafs with 100+ points. So how does that feel? For me, this is only the 3rd season of seeing the Leafs with 100+ points. 01-02, 03-04, and this season.

Don't know if I'm officially considered a "youngin" but I was 10 and 12 years old respectively when the Leafs had those 100 and 103 point seasons in 2002 and 2004. I didn't follow the Leafs as closely as I do now simply based on being a child and playing outside those days etc.

This is the first time as an adult that I'm experiencing the Leafs with a 100+ point season. It feels great, at the same time I still have that feeling of its been a long time coming as I would assume many older fans also do.

You definitely see the game from a different perspective when you're older. I was in my teens during those Quinn years and just getting into hockey at that time. I see the game differently now when I am in my early 30s. In a way, I am thankful that I am just old enough to really remember those thrilling playoff series wins in those days even if we did not quite go all the way. I was old enough to really follow closely during those years.

Was at the game. Place was packed and at least 50% Leafs fans. I think the Islanders have now given up 5 or more goals in 30% of their games. Denis Siedenberg is on their roster and plays a lot. Those two things are not unrelated. If Snow and Weight aren't fired the league seriously needs to stage an intervention and seize control of the team in the interests of the league. The fact that both still have jobs is a sad and sick joke.

Matthews 29 even strength goals in 58 games

Ovechkin 30 even strength goals in 78 games

Laine 24 even strength goals in 77 games

Malkin 28 even strength goals in 74 games

McDavid 36 even strength goals in 78 games

He's going to be damn scarey to the opposition once he's on a line that clicks on the PP.

Matthews has a pace of 41 even strength goals in 82 games, that'd be the most since Stamkos in 2011-12 and a player has gotten 40+ even strength goals 4 times in the last 2 decades.

2011-12 Stamkos 48
2007-08 Ovechkin 43
1999-00 Bure 45
1997-98 Selanne 41

Freddy ties Leafs legend Andrew Raycroft!

Marner > Barzal confirmed!

Refs are still blind confirmed!

TSN secretly hates Toronto confirmed!

What a night fellas.

TSN doesn't hate Toronto. Most of them group up outside of Toronto, so naturally their favourite team isn't Toronto. Jeff O'Neill is clearly a Maple Leafs fan. Not everyone has to love or like the leafs...

Also to be broadcaster you have to be impartial.

I mean, we have a good team for the first time in a decade. Discuss that.

I resisted joining this forum for 10+ years and it was only after the very last death rattles of Usenet that I finally signed up, specifically because I have no interest in someone telling me what to discuss. I have no idea what posts you were referring to BTW so you might have had good reason to step in.

When he's being fed by Mitch on PP1 next season he's going to demolish this league.

Freddie Andersen needs to get his shit together he's been off his game for a while and last night he was awful, we need him back on his game, NOW he can't go into to the playoffs quitting on plays like he did last night on the 1-0 goal,I have never seen a goalie not try to get up.

Nylander is a special talent.
Sure there's moments where it looks like he might be dogging it but lets not stone this kid.
The last thing we need to do is scapegoat some amazing young talent.

No need to pit him against Marner.

We have all 3 amazing young players and that should be all.

dude is tied for the 5th most even strength assists.. if that PP unit was working, the numbers for both him and Matthews would jump
