WILD HOCKEY!

I reckon Wild win 3-1. Niederreiter, Heatley, Koivu for Wild and Kopital for LA.

The Kings have size, so Stoner needs to play... :loony:

How about playing someone who can skate with that team and not be an utter pylon? Na.

They must be worried about Dumba hyperventilating during the pre-game festivities. The kid is just a tad excitable.

Exactly. Russo said Dumba had a rough practice yesterday because he was so excited. Yeo is just giving him a game off to calm him down a bit.

Yeah, and I think it's actually pretty smart. The kid will get his chance.

So harness it and use it to the team's advantage. Don't dress a guy who just can't play with an NHL team of this caliber and now downgrades what was probably the second pairing, with a quality veteran, to the team's third pairing...

On the radio, Fletcher explained the Dumba situation. Touched on the CHL/NHL transfer idea and then he said(roughly) "I think it would be a terrible and dumb mistake to send Dumba back to Red Deer to see how badly he can dominate against 16 year olds in September or October."

So, to me, it sounds like Dumba is going to stick around in the NHL for good. Interesting.

This has been exactly what I've been saying. He won't benefit at all going back to Red Deer. He won't get used used to the NHL game there. Needs to stay up here IMO and let him him grow. He's going to be a good player. Glad Chucky Fletch is thinking my way

Hmm. It's going to be interesting if the Wild try to keep Dumba all season. It's not like he's pulling a Brodin and forcing his way onto the top pairing.
