Even when he improves in January, he doesn’t look like he used to.
He did the year before last, and was one of the reasons we almost made the playoffs after that dismal start. And, if I'm not mistaken, he spent a lot of time injured in the second half of last year, so it's tough to say how much we can really count that.
Palat's slow starts have become a never-ending source of frustration. But last year was the first time he didn't go close to a point-per-game in the second half. And he was injured for that, so I think it's safe to assume he'll show up somewhere around January.
So yeah, it sucks. But if he played all year like he does in the 2nd half, we probably wouldn't be able to afford him. Silver lining. :p
