Yea but only if said goalie is actually good at stopping the puck as well. Rather have a Tuukka then a Mike Smith.

He was going to the front to look for a loose puck and got cleared out. That hit would be passed on being penalized if it was one of the big boys.

This isn’t anything new in the NHL. “Some” little guys are over-protected.

Our 2nd and 3rd line Cs are below average skaters..... the new NHL is speed... against certain teams and against certain match ups it doesn't look good. I think the rumors about looking for a C are true the more I watch them.

I acutally think Rask has gotten a lot better at puck handling.

It’s just that being “safe” with the puck as the goalie is one of the few things Cassidy and Julien seem to have in common as far as coaching. The amount of unnecessary offensive zone face offs Bruins goalies take to play it safe is ridiculous.

Easy to blame Rask as he has sucked this year but this was the worst game I’ve seen from Gryz and McAvoy.

Watching lines 2-4 is like watching the advertisements before the real show comes on. You could really just set a to only watch the Bergeron line and you certainly wouldn't miss anything.

Charlie has to make that hit 10 out of 10 times. He sure as hell cannot just let the guy go get the puck back and get another scoring chance. It's a fast sport and he had to make a quick decision given where the puck was and who was in the vicinity.
